I felt very disappointed today. I brought a friend to the restaurant, having previously enjoyed a great meal here. However, the atmosphere was lacking, resembling a library more than a bustling eatery, and it felt as though it was closing time from the moment we walked in. The service was mediocre. We didn't order an extensive meal; all we wanted was a nice steak.

When the food arrived, the steak was poorly cooked for a medium request. As a chef who has run a large steakhouse, I know a steak should never be cold to the touch, regardless of how it is requested. Even a blue steak should be at least room temperature. The steak I received was raw and fridge-cold in the middle, and had to be sent back.

I would like to see your restaurant return to its former standard, and not serve poorly-cooked meat. You have a wonderful restaurant with a clean and appealing interior. I suggest creating some atmosphere, ensuring the waitstaff are attentive and astute, and that your chef cooks the steak correctly, as it is your signature...

Decided to go here for our wedding anniversary and was certainly not disappointed, it doesn't look much from outside but is beautiful inside I like how the seating areas are on different levels, service from the staff was spot on, very knowledgeable about what wine goes with which meal. We were going to try the tasting menu but we are not a big fan of fish so we picked something from the main menu, all the food sounded amazing and it was really hard to decide what to have, the staff are very efficient and alert extreamly high standard which makes your dining experience worth remembering, I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definately come back, I would advise to book in advance to reserve your table as not to miss out, it's on the main road and is very easy to find on Google maps and they have a car park if your taking your own car. I would of taken pictures but in a nice restaurant like this I would of felt out of place taking pictures of my food, just believe me it...

A real hidden gem in Tenerife! The three of us had an amazing experience at this restaurant on Friday. The location is in the middle of a tiny village and getting there was part of the local experience that we enjoyed so much. We were received so warmly despite some confusion in our online and phone booking (my fault!), yet they still accommodated us. Their service was first class, friendly and professional. They serve traditional Canarian cuisine using Canarian local ingredients, re-envisioned into a modern fare of explosion of taste and texture in the mouth! We had their tasting menu and because their A La Carte menu were also so varied and so interesting, we had to immediately book to come for a second time again the following week to try it :) Highly recommended if you want top class service, top quality local yet modern meal at a very reasonable price! Thank you team El Secreto de Chimiche for sharing your hospitality and...

I am reasonably sure that if this place would have been in the city center and not at Chimiche, it would have been even more renewed. The venue is amazing, elegant but not pretentious, the food is super - the chef did certain dishes that actually are thought in a profound manner and demonstrates genius and understand of foods and its features (the lamb cannellone with demi glace and cauliflower bechamel is an absolute hit) - and the service is perfect, supportive, careful, present but not annoying, like a consistent assistant throughout the culinary experience. We choose the Volcanic Land tasting menu (the long one), and the ratio price/quantity/quality was absolutely great. Lastly, I want to mention our server, Josuè - he truly made a difference in our experience: reliable, punctual, able to give us info on the food and the land, and funny and smart to have a conversation with. Thanks Jesus!

Formerly known as Casa Fito who received Bib Gourmand from the Michelin is still, well worth the try. Off the main TF-28 in Chimiche is and can be a bit off for some, but the scenery along way to discover the island’s beauty is well worth it. The architecture of the building is typical Canarian however decorated with more modern, simple, classy with a traditional touch. The welcoming and the service was not disappointing, well manicured and fine tuned, with a smile. The cuisine itself accompanied the tastefully decorated place- traditional dishes turned modern yet simple and classy. We tried the tasters menu on the back, which gave us a very good idea of what to have next time. Our favorites are the black pork, aged beef, and smoked eggplants. Not a typical Russian salad fan, but this one is worth the try. Do highly recommend!
