I have no complaints about the food. The service however was abysmal. An hour and 20 minutes ago I’d of given much higher of a rating, despite the initial rudeness of the staff, just because the food was good and kind of made up for it… however that was an hour and 20 minutes ago. However, since then we’ve requested our ticket twice from two different people, while watching other tables seated the same time as us receive both dessert, then coffee, then their checks, and are all long gone. Eventually, I had to go into the kitchen area and lo and behold, our waitress we hadn’t seen in over an hour had the nerve to tell me that we hadn’t received our ticket because we hadn’t asked HER. We had not laid eyes on HER in over an hour and a half…. and at first was the excuse I kept giving my husband as to why no one was checking on us, that our waitresses shift must have ended and we were being overlooked accidentally. They were rude from the start, much ruder by the end. The food really was delicious so no hate to those in the kitchen, but just don’t go. No idea how they’ve managed to hold the number 1 spot in town with...

Hidden gem for us American tourists and amazing place for locals. This little restaurant in Guadix is absolutely splendid. It is a restaurant embedded into a rock, a cave. Super busy, thus, make sure you make your reservation. OMG the foods is fantastic and it is worthy every penny you will pay for. There were 4 of us, and unanimously agreed that all the different dishes were ordered were satisfying and tasty. Please get the house cheesecake, it is to die for. Que Rico! The restaurant has an easy menu readily available through their website with pictures, it also offers free wifi for its patrons. The staff is efficient and fast! The bathrooms are clean and I noticed women necessities (tampons, sanitary pads, etc) are available at no charge, which led me to think who is the thoughtful woman who runs the business. I met Veronica and her husband Mario, the owners. What a personality! They run a successful business definitely because they care about their patronage. Thanks and Congratulations for the outstanding business!! It was a privilege to eat at your restaurant. You deserve all the blessings God has...

From the outside you would never image what is hidden inside this "venta" behind the yellow facade you´ll find a big restaurant set into caves in the rock! As soon as you set foot inside you feel that it´s a great place for traditional food. What caught me by surprise is the openness of the team working there and above all the passion that the head chef Mario transmits when he speaks about his food. It´s not often you have lunch, and the chef comes to ask how everything was. One thing I really liked was the idea of products kilometre 0, the idea of bringing the best of the local produce to your table.

We enjoy a selection of both traditional dishes and some new plates I ´ve never tried such as artichokes with foam and the pig´s feet. There wasn´t a dish that I didn´t enjoy, but I think the ribs with the crunchy honey glaze took the prize as my favourite. The puddings were all homemade, we devoured a tiramisu, and we fought over the fresh cheese flan with a brûlée finish.

Great lunch and I hope to be able to visit again soon. Thanks to...
