D·Origen Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

UPDATE AUG 2018: Wow, I asked the barista to make me a coffee I should really try... I really wasn't disappointed with the outcome! I never experienced anything like it. Crushed blueberries and rasperries, mint and all this goodness 'iced' and looking amazing. I don't remember what it was called but upped my initial review from 4 to 5 stars. Don't miss out on this place when in the area.

Let me start by saying that this is the best coffee place in the area.

The deco, the staff and the actual coffee make for a very good experience (however don't expect London style artisan roasters' coffee with extreme fruity notes).

The only let-down is the lack in consistency. I had 4 flat whites here - while in the area - and all 4 of them tasted different, with the first one being the best one. Also, they often seem to run out of ingredients or specific drinks unfortunately.

I wish I could have awarded 4.5 stars, since 4 stars feels a little 'mean' I must admit.

Best coffee place in the area... not perfect, but I kept coming back for...

I had a bit of higher expectations from this place, having followed the insta page for a while from D'Origen and hearing good things from a friend about it, before my trip in Spain.

I've been here 2 times during my one week trip, to give it a second chance, but was still dissapointed, maybe even a little bit more.

We have waited quite a bit both times for someone to sit us, the first time there was a big line in the street, the second time, there was no one, but still had to wait a while till someone minded us.

Then, we had to wait for about 30 min for 2 cups of coffee the first time and for about 50 minutes for 2 coffees and something to eat, that we ended up taking it to go, because of the waiting time.

The staff was ok.

The cappuccino I had was fine & the Espirulina Azul Powerade was also very good, but the service was not great at all, and honestly I am not sure if it's worth the wait.
