Gurkha albir — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

We re-located to Albir 10 months ago and are slowly trying all of the restaurants in Albir, we are incredibly lucky to have so many great places to eat and The Gurkha is yet another great example of incredible quality at very reasonable prices. We both opted for the €16.95 daily menu and were surprised by the exquisite presentation of the starters. They tasted as good as they looked !! We had the sizzling Chicken main course with Rice and Naan bread. For desert i had the whisky cake & i would seriously recommend this to all people (especially those who don't like whisky as the taste was not strong) Once again this is an absolute place to visit and the lady who served us was incredible attentive and kind. As with many of my review i like to make comment on the toilet facilities, and their toilets were very clean with suitable hand wash & dry facilities......

Great restaurant and great experience. Unlike most Indian/Nepales restaurants in Spain, this chef is not afraid to properly spice the dishes. In general, Spaniards are not fond of spicy food, and a lot of Indian restaurants here tone down the spices so much that the dish is barely recognizable. Not so here! The owners and servers (one and the same?) are also very friendly which, sadly, is an important element missing from many restaurants in Spain. For the record, I had the Madras chicken and my wife had the tikka salmon, both delicious and...

We have visited this superb restaurant on several occasions whilst on holiday and can't praise it enough. Apart from being a lovely environment the staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic, absolutely delicious, excellent value for money. We can't fault it. Well done all of you..........

UPDATE, we are back in Albir after 1yr and this restaurant has new owners............... It's as wonderful as last year. Keep up the good work,...
