Returned after a long absence just to see how it was in 2024. We choose menu del dia each. It started well with the tomato soup. It was not red in colour and had chicken strips. No taste of tomato at all with a hint of ginger perhaps and very sweet. I have no idea what soup it was but I liked it very much. Beef with gumbao sauce was tasteless and rubbery. The peas in the rice were not cooked. The pineapple with the duck had a very strange taste. We couldn't finish the meal but my partner wanted to take what was left away for some strange reason. They charged us 50 cents each for 2 plastic containers. We have only been charged once for boxes in another place. We have not been back there since and we will add this to the list. They still allow people to come in and disturb you whist you are eating by trying to sell you stuff. I thought I was in a shop for a moment. A bowl of sweets came with the bill containing jellies that were not wrapped. How many fingers have been fondaliing them? The young Chinese waitress was nice but the stern faced boss woman I have seen here in action before, she kept out of my way fortunately. We...
Read moreHonestly, don't waste your time. See my other reviews for a great recommendation for another restaurant near here that is so much better. I have read mixed reviews about this place, but I wanted to give it a chance and rate it in my own opinion. Firstly, the robot server is nothing special. It reminded me of a robotic vacuum cleaner with a tray stand and a not so cute cat face. The decoration of the restaurant is overly oriental but dark and unwelcoming. The back of the restaurant looked like a storage room without the walls. They had a clothes airer in the walkway leading to the bathrooms. The staff were not appropriately dressed, one server wearing a Pulp Fiction t-shirt. We looked at the all you can eat buffet menu, but there was very little choice, and we chose not to stay for food. When we suggested we would not be staying, they brought an additional menu to our table and said we could order any dishes as part of the buffet offer... why wouldn't this be the first menu they offered? Still, with everything else, we did not stay for food and walked down the road to the...
Read moreWell we are here again, this time we didn't have any lunch so that we can appreciate the food and try a few more dishes! I have been to a few Chinese restaurants in Albir, but this one in my opinion is the best, not by much, but the overall experience gives it the edge over other restaurants. The inside is tastefully decorated with furnishings to match. There is seating both inside and outside. The all you can eat buffet was our choice. You order as many starters as you want simply by writing down the number of each dish, you do the same for your main courses. The food is cooked to order and is delicious. There is something to eat on each course for everyone. You order drinks 🍻🍷☕ which are also included in the buffet price. My wife asked for a glass of red 🍷 and a bottle came to the table. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. The price was only €13.98 per person and €8 for a child. A must...
