Return visit after a two year absence - had high hopes based on memories and rating of last visit, but Kathmandu failed to deliver this time. The refurb of earlier this year has created a pleasant if sparse atmosphere, but food and service failed to deliver. Onion bhajis delivered on the fewest possible shreds of lettuce, two house specialities that failed to deliver anything out of the ordinary - in terms of flavour, content or presentation - lamb bhutuwa and lamb sekuwa. Fantastic service lovely surroundings very clean and big portions.... unfortunately lacking in flavour or spice ..if your used to your spicing British Indian level you'll be disappointed every thing very mild , despite asking for medium to hot, no big flavours of coriander , cumin , in fact all that make Indian food so different , had a chicken shaslick loads of chicken just bland , and goan prawn curry , which was like a prawn korma ..prawn Puri to start was fine but again nothing jumped out in flavour ...if your an Indian food beginner this is for you ..shame as everything else was...
