Mar de España — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

Having had a long awaited visit from our UK family, we celebrated in true Spanish style with a meat and veg paella on Saturday evening at this lovely restaurant. What a delight! it was superb. it was the best paella I had tasted in Spain during the 30 years I have lived here and the family agreed. I had "chatted" on line with the staff beforehand and explained what our meal preference was and asked them "to impress" us. They certainly came up trumps.

The menu is extensive and mouth watering and there is something for everyone.

Was looking forward to paella, when arrived I was told it is for two people and had to make a reservation in advanced. The restaurant was empty I was only customer, not sure what to make out of it. The waiter was friendly but also basically just a bit laughing about the paella part and me not knowing I had to make a reservation. There is nowhere on the website mentioned about a reservation or that it is for two...
