Palmen Restaurant — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor which was just a short walk from where we were staying. It did not disappoint! The food was amazing and plentiful and the service was fantastic too. Proper home made chunky chips, not dry frozen ones like so many places. The owners (I presume) were so friendly and welcoming, letting us know how long the main course would be and bringing us an aperitif and bread and alioli to keep us going until it was ready. They then said when clearing the plates away afterwards that she would leave us 15 minutes to see if we would like any coffees or desserts. The homemade cheesecake was really lovely. We often in Albir and walked by this restaurant meny times, but it used to have a very bad reputation.

Last night we had run out of ideas and took a chance and giving it a try, and what a delightfull suprise!

The restaurant has new owners and we really was over the moon when we ordered and the starters arrived. The food and the quality was simply stunning,

We had the menu of the day and it was the best menu we have had in Albir for many years.

We always miss vegetetables with the food here in Albir, at Palmen it was plenty and so delicate and perfect prepared. The service was at its best, we really had a delightfull meal.

I deeply recomend you to give Palmen a try, you Will not be sporty for your choice.

Take the time to walk off the main road just a minute and you wont regret it. To be honest from the outside you would have 2nd thoughts BUT - the welcome and food are just home made first class. We are a family of 5 celebrating our wedding anniversary - we arrived ballons and a dressed table.
