We had dinner there last night and the food was exceptional. I was super excited to try them because I'd read other reviews and they have gluten free options for pizza and some pastas. We ordered baked eggplant with tomato sauce and cheese, and a tomato-burrata salad to start. The gooey melted cheese baked on that tomato sauce topped eggplant was the so more, more, more!
The pizza with cherry tomato, flor di latte, and arugula (done gluten free!) was a treat: light bubbly crust with some crunchy bits! My partner had pasta A'matriciana which and it was delicious as well. Pasta & Pasta has the best tomato sauces! We were so busy eating I forgot to take more photos. As someone who doesn't tolerate gluten well, it was exciting to have both pasta and pizza options that are gluten free. I'd read about the carrot cake so my husband ordered it as well. I took a bite and it was moist and light and with just the right warming spices carrot cake should have.
Our server was super nice, expedient for the most part, and helpful. It got quite busy last night so we sometimes had to track him down but overall, a really...
Read moreTo be honest I have totally mixed feeling about this place. Place advertises itself as restaurant with fresh pasta. Which is not entirely true - waiter confirmed that lasagne was frozen and kept in freezer for 2 weeks during their vacation break (Pasta & Pasta was first day open after the break).
This confession came up after receiving lasagne frozen inside and by looking at other customers, we were not the only ones. Waiter told us that he will bring another portions, this time properly prepared, and this will be on the house. Overall, the food was good, we have also ordered tiramisu.
To our surprise, receipt showed us that lasagne was not on the house, only the tiramisu was - which was twice cheaper than lasagne. So for some reason waiter changed his mind in making this up to us - that was odd and didn't left...
Read moreWhat a finding! It can’t get any more authentic than this. You can choose any of their freshly made pastas (which they have on display) prepared in any way you like - although I’d suggest going with their recommendations por pairing listed in their menu. The atmosphere is great and the service was outstanding. We loved it so much we went back for dinner that same day! Make sure you get reservations because they are usually full!! Also, beware that pizzas are only served after 6pm- BONUS: they don’t close during the infamous Spanish downtime 4-6pm. My personal recommendations are the bruschetta and the tagliatelle ragú. Pesto pasta was also out of this world. Margherita pizza was in my opinion the loser here - the cheese wasn’t very fresh and it could have used some basil. Also, all of their desserts are to die for...
