Tiffin (Authentic Indian cuisine) CURRY & TANDOORI HOUSE — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

This place was an unexpected and most welcome surprise. My colleague and I walked in here on a whim and we were so glad we did. We sat at the back near the water feature and the atmosphere was so peaceful, calm and we could smell the delicious aroma from the food.

I’ve not had great experience with Indian cuisine outside of the UK or India so my hopes were not high.

The tadka dhal was really good. My colleague ate the prawn starter which she loved. She then was about to order another one and I suggested she try the chickpea starter so I could try a bit too. That was out of this world.

I came back the following day with 6 colleagues. Everything we ordered was tasty. The aloo gobi, Chana, two dhals, saag paneer (which they made with tofu for me) and the okra.

All the starters went down well and the staff were super friendly. It helps that I speak Punjabi but this is the best Indian food I’ve eaten anywhere in Europe and if this was in England I’d go all the time.

Lianne and I visited as part of my 65th birthday celebrations. The terrace was pet friendly so Spot could join us. The restaurant is smart, clean and authentic. There is an open kitchen so you ate able to witness Arjun Singh and his team prepare all the dishes fresh and made to order. We ordered onion bhajee and shami kebab starters with poppadoms, all very good with appropriate chutneys. Lianne ordered Tikka Masala which was lovely. I ordered shashlik which I was told would be without sauce and served on a hot plate, sadly this was not the case. That is the only reason I have awarded 4stars rather than 5. On our next visit, I will reorder and enjoy it. When the owner, Kamal Kumar found out it was my birthday he pulled out all the stops and served a delicious slice of cheesecake and offered me a drink, I chose Cointreau, Lianne chose cava. If you love Indian food served in a proper restaurant then a visit to Tiffin is a must when you are in L'Albir. Thank you making my 65th birthday...

🌿 De sfeer Binnen is het zintuiglijke overvloed: helder turkoois en aardetinten wisselen elkaar af, terwijl kleurrijke kussens en Indiase details een gevoel van geborgenheid creëren. De open keuken geeft een inkijk in de precisie van het keukenteam, die zichtbaar met aandacht en toewijding werkt. Buiten is er een intieme binnentuin, met een serene Boeddha tussen klimop en zacht kabbelend water – een plek waar tijd vertraagt.

🍛 De ervaring Elke gang wordt geserveerd met flair en finesse. De Dal Makhani is romig en rijk als fluweel, de Chicken Tikka rokerig en perfect gemarineerd. Warme naan komt dampend aan tafel en maakt elke hap compleet. En wat een verademing: het eten is verfijnd gekruid zonder te overstemmen, een zeldzaam evenwicht tussen comfort en karakter.
