L'Escata — Restaurant in l'Ametlla de Mar

I will begin buy saying that I don't usually leave negative reviews. I stopped here for lunch with my husband and 16 month old baby. Her and I are vegetarians (no fish) but my husband eats everything. I never have problems finding something to eat and I'm not picky, and also 99% of restaurants have at least something on the menu we can eat. But when we sat down and saw there was no vegetarian options I asked the waitress if they could make one of the rice dishes without fish and just the vegetables she just looked at me and said no, they don't have vegetables. At first I laughed because there were many vegetables listed on the menu. But again she said no, nothing was possible. So she stood and watched us pack up all of our things, get our baby and leave. Well this is a very welcome addition to the L’ Ametlla dining scene. In a lovely position overlooking the marina, it’s been very well decorated and furnished. The big plus though are the team and the incredible food. We had a set menu and it was absolutely delicious. We’ve had a house here for 23 years and have longed for somewhere this good.
