Surtout n’y allez pas, erreur dans les commandes, les plats servis en même temps que les entrées, mauvaise cuisson des viandes, bref, ni fait ni à faire, à éviter de tout urgence 🆘 !!!
when you open a restaurant, you have to at least know how to cook meat... We ordered 2 entrecotes and in the end we only ate one, but we paid for both... Have you ever seen a mojito without mint leaf, monjito for 8€50, have you asked yourself why it wasn't drunk??? It was just bad... Let's talk about the starters!!! 4 sautéed potatoes with ketchup and industrial aioli sauce!!! As a reminder, an egg, a tablespoon of mustard, salt, 150 ml of grapeseed oil, 5 ml of olive oil, I finish with a twist of pepper and I have an excellent homemade mayonnaise to be offered with the starters!!! What a surprise to have mixed with the tapas, my wife's main dish!!!??? Are you kidding the world?!!! How can we offer as a main course, 2 poor crab croquettes without any accompaniment, no vegetables, no rice, nothing, a tiny plate with 2 meatballs... so ridiculous and tasteless that we thought it was part of the tapas and that after sharing the first croquette we realized that it was my wife's dish!!! It was a mistake not to serve the dishes with the dishes, as a result my wife had to recommend a new dish which she only got once everyone had finished... My wife recommended a hamburger and asked for the meat to be well cooked, it arrived rare, so she ate half of it because she was hungry, we didn't say anything because we had been suffering the successive errors of your culinary amateurism for 2 hours!!! You have the nerve to tell me about your free limoncello!??? Fortunately you offer this, 4 glasses of 2 cl of a low-end product, too sweet... In return, we offered you the children's desserts included in their menu which we did not take, we preferred to offer them a good ice cream elsewhere!!! So excuse me for criticizing you, €235 for 7, 4 adults and 3 children under 10 years old, for not being satisfied, 4 limoncello does not replace vaseline!!! we should only have paid for an entrecote, the crab croquettes (20€) should not have been charged, the mojito which arrived 20 minutes after the other drinks should not have been charged (gross)... 2 positive points despite everything, the wine very good and the location facing the sea... for the rest, we experienced a...
Read moreWhat a lovely new restaurant in this charming village! We stopped by for a nice full dinner as we were passing through the area on our Honeymoon. We were charmed by the warm midcentury modern meets seaside bistro décor, but lured inside by the delicious aromas coming from the grill, and the obvious enjoyment that the other diners were having. So glad we were able to get a nice table, just before the gorgeous view of the ocean from the windows turned to twilight. The appetizers were great; especially the calamari and croquettas. Tasty and fresh calamari, and not overcooked. The croquettes were nice and large, and overall the portions felt generous for the price. We decided to explore the menu by having a combination of tapas, and really enjoyed the board with beef entrecôte, fried padron peppers, potatoes and more. We shared a nice dessert platter of various cakes, fruit and ice cream...all were delightful! Had to take most of that home in a box, though! :) The hosts were gracious and warm, and service was quite good despite them being increasingly busy as we enjoyed our meal. With its diverse menu and very pleasant location, I would highly recommend giving Salazar's Beachfront Bar & Grill a...
Read moreWith a great view to where the Ebro kisses the sea (at L’Ampolla), this beachside gem offers more than just a meal—it delivers an experience. The views alone are worth the visit: wide open Mediterranean horizons framed by the tranquil mouth of the river. It’s the kind of setting that naturally slows your pace and sharpens your appetite.
The locale is spotless and clearly well looked after, which adds to the charm without distracting from the laid-back coastal vibe. Service? On point. Zidan (no, not that Zidane—but just as legendary in his own way) was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
We went for the parrillada for two, and it did not disappoint. Hearty portions, good-quality cuts, and a balanced selection that kept things interesting throughout (a very hot iron plate is brought for you to reheat or cook more your meats). If I had to nitpick, I’d say I prefer my beef just a touch rarer—but that’s a personal preference, not a flaw in execution.
Bottom line: this place hits the sweet spot between rustic and refined. Come hungry, stay for the view, and let Zidan take care...
