L'espigó — Restaurant in l'Escala

It's really worth a visit. A new restaurant in L'Escala and I booked a table for 2 (there's a small kids area too so great for families). We had a cheese plate of Catalan cheese with the house salad and a steak. All very very good. The wine we had was also excellent. Jordi knows his stuff and can talk you through the food too. We thought: "End of summer, no chance to find a good restaurant open for sure..." Wrong!!! Great home-made quality cooking, the chef has found the best je-ne-sais-quoi for each dish. This family-run restaurant combines the incompatible - a magnificent view and equally magnificent cuisine. Add to this the continuous kitchen operation from lunch until closing, and voila - you sit here for hours.
