Sushi Maydo — Restaurant in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat

We were staying in the Renaissance Hotel nearby. It was a 5 minute walk to the restaurant. It had been highly recommended by a local. We were very pleasantly surprised to find such a great deal! Only €21 for all you can eat lunch! You have to order a drink too. We just ordered waters. The sushi is very fresh. Some of it served on ice to keep it fresh! The food comes out fairly quickly. One item that my husband ordered never came out, but he didn’t care, as it was the same price either way. The menu is HUGE! I included pictures of each page. I like that they have a picture of each menu item and your food comes out exactly like the picture. They give you a piece of paper to write what you want. You can order up to 5 items pp on a “round”. You have unlimited rounds. We only used 2 rounds. We ordered the tuna tartar, a salmon hand roll, a salmon and avocado roll with black rice, a platter of the salmon and tuna sashimi (which they put together on one bowl of ice). The salmon tartar, and several other rolls. Everything was delicious! My husband went back again for lunch the next day and the day after that! Just FYI- there’s Chinese food in the back of the menu. No se bien ni por donde empezar... Hice la reserva para comer con mi familia, ya que estábamos de celebración por el cumpleaños de mi hijo y mi marido. A la hora de coger la reserva muy bien, lugar muy bonito y tranquilo. Poco nos duraría el buen ambiente. No nos dio tiempo a pedir la comida que una "señora", trabajadora de allí obviamente, se acercó a mi hijo a mandarlo a callar de muy malas formas. Me lo tomé como si fuera una pequeña "broma" pero al poco tiempo volvió a pasar lo mismo, pero aún con peores modos y practicamente chillando. Mi marido tuvo que reaccionar por la actitud de esta persona y que agradezca sus buenos modos, cosa que ella no tuvo en ningún momento. Cabe recalcar que mi niño es un niño TEA, estaba algo nervioso por abrir sus regalos pero en ningún momento armó ningún escándalo ni se movió de su sitio. ¡Como iba a dar tiempo a más, si acababamos de llegar! De hecho, se calmó enseguida. Suficiente complicado es para los padres con niños con dificultades lidiar con según que tipo de situaciones como para que este tipo de gente complique aún más todo. Y aunque no tuviera ninguna dificultad, si se tiene que hablar o decir algo es a lo padres. ¡¡¡JAMÁS a un niño pequeño de 3 AÑOS!!!. El resto de trato tampoco fue muy bueno, te atienden a desgana y metiéndote presión para no pedir más rondas, cuando se supone que es buffet libre. En fin, la comida muy buena pero el trato HORROSO. Teníamos esperanzas que nos gustara para ir a menudo ya que está cerca de nosotros. Pero por esta experiencia no repetiremos. Que lastima la poca empatía y el mal servicio con personas como nosotros que vamos con la intención de disfrutar. Casi 200€ invertidos para comer con mal sabor de boca y un mosqueo impresionante. I never leave negative reviews but i think people need to know not to come here. The food was alright, but the staff weren’t friendly, almost slamming the plates on to the tables. I understand that they are busy and it was half an hour before closing time, but it wasn’t good customer service. Even so, we still left a tip.

What was truly unacceptable is one of the staff members clipping his nails almost in front of us. It shows their respect for hygiene, i’m truly lost for words.
