Customer service was extremely poor and biased against foreigners.

The website said the kitchen closes at 11. We arrived at 10 pm and it was packed. The waitress said that the locals party here every Saturday and that getting a table would be unlikely. We inquired about eating at the bar and were denied. We told the waitress we would wait at the bar until a table opened up as we noticed a family of three in the corner were wrapping up and decided to bet on them leaving before 11. The family left shortly after our arrival, and the same waitress said they had to move the table after the family finished to prepare for the party. 98% of the restaurant was seated and hadn't received their food yet. There was no imminent party, the customers were still eating. We noticed another family leaving and said we would take that table instead. She then said to us that the kitchen was at order capacity and no longer taking orders. The servers were bringing out dozens of burgers and other dishes. We would not be able to order any food. She finally found an excuse we couldn't get around. We waited so long because there weren't many restaurant options in the area. She made it very clear that the preferred group for the evening were locals as she was very warm and polite to each Spaniard but cold and blunt with us.

The sangria at the bar was tasty, but we didn't get any food. If you're planning on visting, go early and not on a night where the locals "party." You may not be...

Dinner at 6p please

What I wasn't as hungry so I went with a couple of tapas. I got the bravas patatas, peppers, croquettes and calamari. I am a sauce on the side person and so I thought the sauce on the potatoes was too much.. but once I scraped off majority of it, the potatoes were really good, I wasn't that much of a fan of the sauce. The peppers were really good, not too oily, not spicy at all, just right. I was not that much of a fan of the croquettes, it was a little too ham taste for me. The calamari was the best part for me! I really liked this.

Environment Located steps from the Hampton hotel, it was very convenient for food around the area since the options could be slim since this is not in the city center. I love that they were opened during the typical closed hours, so I was able to get dinner at 6 or 7pm. There is outdoor seating and also indoor seating. Quite large space.

Niceness of the staff Very nice staff - I was able to use my broken spanish. But they all spoke english and it was easy to get what I needed

Dollar I thought there were all decently priced. The total for the 4 dishes was like 40 some Euro

Yes I would def return here for dinner if I am staying in...

The food was good, no better or worse than most restaurants.

But 3 reasons for 1 star:

  1. There was a large birthday table that seemed to own the place. They had toys all over the floor of the main walkway with their kids playing on the ground. The restaurant let them as if they reserved the whole restaurant.

  2. The restaurant blasted load rock music over load speakers and turned off the lights to sing happy birthday to one customer (the large table again). I understand celebrating a customers birthday but this was unnecessarily disruptive to everyone and very surprising at a restaurant like this.

  3. BEWARE: Every single entree item on the menu has hidden price. It says minimum 2 person's and also multiplies the price by the number of people eating. So, the prices are a minimum of 2X what it actually says. This was not clarified before ordering and they doubled the price on the bill (20 Euros on menu, 40 Euros...

Great place to stop for a coffee and a baguette (panini style), or croissants in the morning (between 7:00 - 12:00). The bread is amazing and enough types to choose from which you can have while siting down outside or inside. Lunch is served between 13:00 - 16:00, never been here for lunch myself so not much to share. In the evening it's a restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. (19:00 - 23:00) Prices are reasonable and i found them in balance with the quality of food and service. The language was a bit of a challenge for non Spanish speaking but never a blocker, Google translate could always be handy for emergencies. Friday and Saturday (00:00 - 02:00) ... Cocktails and dancing! Fun atmosphere with some after work drinks on Friday. The place is closed all day on Sundays.

Friday night, dinner time, Barcelona, big city, you know nothing, whay do you do? Google Maps, your best friend in unknown places, right? Next step, look for restaurants, top rated, closest one, 4.1 stars, good, let's go. What happens next my friends, is utterly disappointing... salads full of dry lettuce, 2 pieces of tomate and 1 asparagus half cut, altogether with very few olives, onion slices, bitter and bitter tuna... 9 euros each salad... boom. Also ordered some fish, which tasted like frozen salty smoked stuff and the meat, which was actually the only thing I would recommend. Service was appropriate and price too high in comparison to the quality of the food. Not recommended.
