The location is approximately - 8 minutes by car, taxi (under 5 euros) or bus #4 (which leaves every 20 mins costs 1 euro bus stop 2 min walk from hotel) or 30 min downhill walk - to Segovia town. Do not recommend taking the car into the old town as parking is challenging. The town is beautiful as you see it driving into Segovia and a visit is a must. The hotel is actually nothing as described by some past reviewers unless it has since been renovated. It looks like a grand Spanish villa and in keeping with the exquisite old style. There is a Lidl and Aldi 2 min walk away.||The bedroom is a decent size with comfortable bed with a long joint pillow and several cushions and has a cupboard for storage. The bathroom is also a decent size with large towels and basic toiletries and has a bidet too. There is a balcony with views to the city.||There are a couple of restaurants in the hotel and a popular bar but note that no meals are available until 8.30pm. The drinks in the bar are reasonably priced and the 2 barmen - Danny and Sergio are very professional and deliver a quick service. Danny speaks English so that was a bonus as this hotel is primarily Spanish oriented. Danny was able to assist us with the menu which was in Spanish.||Reception staff were friendly and helpful with directions and places to visit.||Breakfast was good value as were the tapas. There were set menus for the formal dinner which appeared pricey but appealed to the larger groups. There was also an a la carte menu but all in Spanish.||Both Wifi and air-conditioning were excellent. The TV did not have any English channels. There was no room safe but the door had a double lock and the area appeared safe.||There is heaps of free parking in front of the hotel and it appeared to be a safe and quiet area.||Overall: I loved the ambience of this hotel and have no hesitation to recommend it...

Read moreI stayed here with my husband and our two children on a short trip to Segovia, we were looking for somewhere with parking (impossible in the historic centre), bus links into the centre, family rooms and a low price tag. This hotel certainly offers all of that.||The reception staff are super friendly and very helpful regarding transport links to the centre and places to visit. The rooms are spacious enough for a family of four, very clean but a little dated and sound insulation is not great however, once we called reception they quickly resolved the neighbor noise issue and we all slept well. ||Its easy to get in and out of the historic centre by bus or taxi. Be careful about where you get on the bus from the aqueduct - there is the L4 and the 4 - you need the 4 which is not in the main square, but down the parallel street a little. ||The hotel bar is quite nice for a drink and tapas, and had plenty of local customers as well as...
