A magic spot in the mountains offering good food, lots of it, at a fair price. We opted for the 14 euro menu, 7 courses of tapas (sensible portions) and the a choice of main - from four meats and 6 fish - the mains a meal in their own.

Our tapas consisted of bread, boquerones, cod croquettes, calamari, prawns, meatballs salad,, Serrano ham and cheese

This is a no-frills little Spanish mountain village restaurant. There is a 14E tapas menu (12 plates) and a 14E plato combinado menu, which has eight tapas to share and a main course of a grilled meat or fish dish with chips and a grilled pepper. The tapas can be bought individually if you only want three or four. The menus do not include a drink, coffee or pudding. The pretty inside courtyard was closed for renovations so our table was by the roadside, but it was fine. The young male waiter was very friendly. Not posh, nothing particularly different, but it was better than we expected and for the money, it was well above average. Este es un pequeño restaurante de pueblo de montaña español sin lujos. Hay un menú de tapas 14E (12 platos) y un menú de plato combinado 14E, que tiene ocho tapas para compartir y un plato principal de carne o pescado a la parrilla con patatas fritas y un pimiento a la parrilla. Las tapas se pueden comprar individualmente si solo quieres tres o cuatro. Los menús no incluyen bebida, café o postre. El bonito patio interior estaba cerrado por reformas, así que nuestra mesa estaba al lado de la carretera, pero estaba bien. El joven camarero fue muy amable. No elegante, nada particularmente diferente, pero fue mejor de lo que esperábamos y por el dinero, estaba muy por encima...

Always enjoy going here when we are in Spain. Menu 2 is the best option for us which consists of tapas to start (tuna salad, bread and alioli, manchego cheese and ham, fish croquet, meatballs, calamari, prawns and anchovies) followed by either meat or fish main course and desert. The owner and his wife provide an excellent service and it is a very popular place. I am already looking forwards to...
