I had high expectations from Txintxardin and was terribly disappointed. We came here for my birthday for lunch and regretted my decision. The first issue was that the waiter has been incredibly unprofessional the entire time. From the moment we arrived and we mentioned we have a reservation, we were told to just sit down wherever but we weren’t shown to the table. We ordered the drinks, we didn’t get the right order from the beginning - this was because there was a language barrier as the waiter didn’t speak any English at all. We were brought vermouth in wine glasses - I’m not sure how we were supposed to have the olives from that glass. The waiter poured a little bit of the wine for me to taste and then just left the bottle on the table for the other people at the table to pour into their own glasses. The waiter didn’t explain any of the dishes that were brought to us from the tasting menu and we even received the same dish 2 times. Everytime we were brought a new plate, the waiter told us to keep the dirty cutlery - didn’t even offer to put it aside for us - however, I think they should’ve been changed with every dish as they were full of sauce and we were expected to just leave them on the white table linen. Aside from what must’ve been the worst service I received in the Basque region, the food was underwhelming too. The fish and beef were too salty and the starter dishes weren’t special. On the tasting menu there were 2 dessert dishes but we only received one of them. The atmosphere wasn’t great either - the venue was empty and the music kept getting cut off so it made for a very dry vibe. I’m genuinely curious how this place ever made it on the...

Buenos dias. Quería refrescarles la memoria respecto al suceso al que hace referencia Ter y ustedes no recuerdan. El día 11 de Junio tuvo lugar en su establecimiento una comida de empresa a la que asistió mi hijo, y les comunico su alergia a leche de oveja y cabra en varias ocasiones, y ustedes le trasmitieron que estaba controlado. Al comer un risotto sintió opresión progresiva en la garganta, así como otros síntomas generales de alergia, se puso en contacto conmigo ( era la primera vez que le ocurria, ya que desde su infancia ponemos mucho cuidado en advertir de dicha alergia), yo soy enfermera y me llamó para ver si se pinchaba ya adrenalina que siempre lleva, le aconseje que si no estaba muy apurado le llevarán a un centro de salud y así lo hizo una compañera, allí pusieron medicación y trasladaron en ambulancia al hospital de Donostia, y permaneció ingresado ese día. Creo que todo esto les habrá refrescado la memoria ya que yo esa tarde hablé con ustedes en 3 ocasiones para aclarar que podían haber introducido en el menu, yo pensé que podía ser queso de oveja en el risotto y ustedes lo negaron, está informacion ayudaria a los alergólogos del hospital. Al día siguiente fueron ustedes los que contactaron conmigo para interesarse por el estado de mi hijo e insinuando que igual algunas trazas..., unas trazas no producen la anafilaxia que sufrió. We've lived in this area for over 40 years now and this restaurant is possibly the best "value for great quality" we have ever come across. Don't be put off by the surrounding industrial estate, the restaurant looks onto a lovely tree-lined avenue.The "menu a la brasa" is a complete steal - get it before it inevitably shoots up in price. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere as it was the day after a public holiday and therefore almost empty. You'll need your own transport...

Me ha gustado mucho el restaurante, fui con mi pareja por qué nos llamó la atención su mantequilla Ahumada, y la verdad que fue una pasada cogimos un cupón de descontalia y la verdad que acertemos nos encantó el restaurante y la comida estaba buenísima hasta el postre fue increíble , me creía que nos quedaríamos con hambre pero la verdad que los nueve platos cundieron bastante y estuvieron muy buenos. La atención fue espectacular nos trataron muy bien y estuvieron atentos en todo momento. Volveremos sin dudarlo nos encantó.

Me ha gustado mucho el restaurante, fui con mi pareja por qué nos llamó la atención su mantequilla Ahumada, y la verdad que fue una pasada cogimos un cupón de descontalia y la verdad que acertemos nos encantó el restaurante y la comida estaba buenísima hasta el postre fue increíble , me creía que nos quedaríamos con hambre pero la verdad que los nueve platos cundieron bastante y estuvieron muy buenos. La atención fue espectacular nos trataron muy bien y estuvieron atentos en todo momento. Volveremos sin dudarlo nos encantó.

Lugar con pretensiones de elegancia, buen producto y cocina sencilla pero con materia prima de calidad y trabajada. Hasta ahí, estupendo. Pero nos tocó un día de servicio loco, dos pobres chicas para atender todas las mesas interiores y exteriores. Un desastre. Ellas ponían voluntad y una sonrisa forzada, pero se veía que estaban abrumadas. Una pena por ellas.
