Restaurante Sarriena — Restaurant in Leioa

This is our local place and I'm glad it is. We've been a few times at the weekend for rotisserie chicken, chips and salad and it's all great at reasonable prices. We've also eaten in the main restaurant a few times and always had amazing quality food, very fresh tasty seafood, prawns from Huelva, scallops, home smoked salmon, all superb. Last time we had the top price chuletón and it was incredible, 55 day aged Fresian cow, melts like butter in the mouth with a deep flavour. Everything we've had there on 5 visits has been excellent. This spot was okay, but I had higher hopes. The decor is charming, with a cozy, homey feel that makes you want to relax. The staff was polite, though they seemed a bit overwhelmed during peak hours. The menu was interesting, with a good mix of dishes to choose from. However, the food was underwhelming. My entree was cooked well but didn’t have the flavor I was expecting. Cervecera grande en la que a parte de menú cervecera puedes comer a la carta. Hoy hemos ido a cenar, y al pedir el pollo hemos especificado que por favor estaría tostadito. Estaba blanquito y hemos pedido que nos lo hagan más. Hasta ahi sin problema. Pero como puede ser que el pollo recién salido del horno en el que se está tostando más.. Vayamos a la mesa, que no hemos tardado ni medio minuto y el pollo este frío!!!!!!!!! Incluso la salsa estaba helada, pero si acaba de estar haciéndose más! Encima delante mio diciéndome que espere que ya casi esta, ha sido el jefe, que salió en juego de cartas y le he reconocido. Estaba en una esquina donde la comida no se veía y no ha echo absolutamente nada con el salvo que se quede helado. A parte estaba incomible, seco y sin sabor. No es la primera vez que nos pasa porque hemos ido varias veces ya que se puede ir con los perros y muchas veces decimos.. Va tampoco está tan mal y podemos comer con los perros. Pero si os digo que va a ser la última que vayamos porque ya hoy a sido el colmo. Y no es la primera vez tampoco que la gente de alrededor nuestro se queja de lo mismo, o que incluso se quejan al camarero. Nosotros también hemos trasladado la queja al camarero.
