I was going to post this review to you directly seeing as we had no chance to speak to you personally on our last visit (one of our party is very sensitive to the slightest changes owing to his medical condition), but I can find no email for your business, so it will have to be through the medium of this review. This was our third visit in about a month+. While we found the first visit, food quality and service good (even if the wine service was inconsistent), it appears we were on a downward slope from there. The second time the food was less good - in my case the pulpo, which was swimming in what seemed to be some form of gloop that tasted like yesterday. We had already agreed to take some friends to your establishment by that time and kept to our original promise. The welcome was a little harsh by the lady who is supposed to be the friendly welcoming front of house, I felt like being back at school and wouldn’t be allowed in until I’d used hand gel. We had a table for 7. With our drinks we got a small bowl of olives, probably not enough for each person to have one… I ordered a pricey cut of beef, for which I wanted an accompaniment of sauce. The waiter said he would ask and came back with a choice of aioli or romesco (both of which, if my experience is anything to go by, come from a jar and already feature on the menu). No other sauces were available. If I’m going to pay 35 Euros for a piece of meat, surely it’s not unusual to expect a proper sauce. The meat was tender enough, but otherwise pretty non-descript and fairly tasteless (all the more reason for a decent sauce to go with it). A let-down from the way it was bigged up on the menu. My partner ordered the intriguing salmorejo with ceviche and mango ice cream, only to find that the “ceviche” bit was a whole raw prawn which hadn’t even been deveined. Yum. I’m sorry but that is a pretty basic mistake to make and really not acceptable. We love raw stuff of any kind, except for sand, grit and other unmentionables that sit in a gamba’s digestive tract. And she found that the whole combination does not really work. Our friends later asked us what we thought of the food and we had to admit it was ok but nothing special, and quite expensive at that. Lo que más me sorprendió fue el servicio del establecimiento, que pocas veces conocí durante mi estancia en España. Se trata de camareros ordenados, un administrador atento, una anfitriona agradable que aceptó una reserva de mesa y nos recibió en la entrada. Me gustaría señalar que desde el primer paso sentirás la calidad de esta institución. Durante toda mi estancia allí simplemente disfruté del trabajo de estas personas cualificadas y del ambiente de esta institución. También quiero destacar el sabor y la calidad, presentación y diseño de los platos. Todos los platos están elaborados con productos de alta calidad, cada plato está elaborado por manos de profesionales. Empezando por una buena carne y terminando con un postre original. La única observación que tuvimos: el precio de una parrillada de carne estaba indicado incorrectamente y no estaba claro. Por lo tanto, indique los precios de la ración.
