Restaurante Mirador del Arlanzón — Restaurant in Los Balbases

Having spent nearly 9 hours on the road we were glad to find El Mirador del Arlazon on the Autovia A-62 just out side Burgos. The room we had was sufficiently large, comfortable and clean, with a well appointed bathroom, and at a quite reasonable price. We had a meal in the restaurant, which was excellent, quality and good value. The waiter who spoke a small amount of English, was very friendly, and could not do enough to help. We were oblivious to the traffic racing up and down the autovia all night, as the acoustic insulation seemed to be good, however, noise emanating from inside the hotel was at an unacceptable level. I'm not sure if our room was not above the kitchen, as there seemed to be a lot of what sounded like pots and pans being banged about in the middle of the night. In the morning I could here everything the occupant of the adjoining room was doing in preparation to depart. I would use this hotel again, for the convenience it offered in the middle of an 1800km journey. The fact that there was good food available, a coffee bar and fuel station and a huge parking area all on site, plus the ease of leaving and rejoining...

The reason I rated the place with one star is because I can't rate it with less. We were on our holiday and ready to spend money to get the best of it. On our way, we stopped there for dinner, but unfortunately, we weren't welcome at this place. It seemed like the girls there were forced to work, the faces and the attitudes they had were unbelievable, We decided to leave and not use the hotel, we stopped at the next one were the staff members were a decade ahead of this place. And just for the record, I do not usually give negative feedbacks but my experience there was really bad. Why would you like to be rude to someone who pays your salary and wants to have a nice time, I hope someone will see my feedback and take action. However, I won't stop...
