Cracking little village bar and restaurant. Recently refurbished and under new management. Very friendly new owners and staff serving excellent quality, good value food. The menú del día costs 13 Euro and includes two large courses of excellent, homemade, local food. If you’re still hungry, the cakes and coffee are also tasty. Well worth a try.

Muy buena experiencia en este local. Buscaba un sitio donde comer en la zona de Los Guájares, ya que al haber pocos bares, era difícil y dí con este lugar. Comí un menú del día y la verdad es que me sorprendió. No tenían mucha variedad de platos, pero estuvieron a la altura. En primer lugar sirvieron una tapa de migas para la espera del menú y he de decir que estaba muy buena, aparte de ser muy contundente; de primero, un puchero de hinojos, que era la primera vez que lo probaba, ya que se ve que es un plato tradicional de esta zona yoa verdad que me sorprendió para bien siendo un plato muy contundente también. De segundo habas con huevo, más que correcto y para acabar tarta de chocolate. La atención del joven fue sobresaliente, siendo que era yo la única persona comiendo en terraza y salió varias veces a preguntar que tal iba, gran detalle. Buen precio del menú, bien elaborado y con grandes cantidades. Muy recomendable.

Bar Parada is a local bar / cafetería 30 minutes drive inland from the Costa Tropical. Not many tourists make it here, but those that do, enjoy the wonderful scenery and tranquil surroundings of Los Guájares. If you hang around til late afternoon the locals get together in the bar for a game of cards or dominoes. I challenge anyone to understand a word they say during the game. The local dialect...

Family run for three generations. A village pub with friendly atmosphere; traditional well cooked local food - lovely views from dining room.
