Typical Canary Islands guachinche featuring short but traditional menu. The restaurant is located conveniently right on the main road. The interior is simple but OK. The staff was nice. The disappointment came on the plates. We had carne de cabra (goat meat), carne fiesta (fried pork), eggs and potatoes and chickpeas. The pork was tough and tasteless, goat meat was actually bones covered with a tiny bit of meat and lot of fat and tendons, it was layed over fried potatoes and sunk in very watery sauce. Literally the worst carne de cabra we've tried so far in Tenerife. :( The surprise was the grandmother's cake served as a dessert. We liked it very much. I don't think we'll ever...

They don't accept cards as payment, I want to say that first just in case someone finds themselves in the same situation I did and have to go home without paying which I found really embarrassing. When I get embarrassed I get angry, so I didn't behave very well, but not accepting cards is highly unusual and there's no ATM in the village.

Fortunately they seem like nice people and didn't make a big deal out of it, the food was absolutely delicious (Ropa Vieja) and reasonable value. I paid the bill via PayPal when I got home to my computer.

So I'm going to give them 5 stars for the good food and hospitality and hope they find a way to...

Very nice place to stop and relax on the way to the north coast. The bar has very tasty pastries for breakfast and you can choose from many different ones. There is not a huge selection of alcoholic bevarages, but the local wine is very tasty. There is a newly built terrace outside which during summer is really pleasant to sit drinking a cold bear. The bar also serves food and although the menu is not very vast, everything is very tasty. Reccomended stewd goat meat or eggs with potatoes. The place open early but is not open in the evening for dinner. Most of its...
