We arrived and asked for a table to eat in the terrace. We were kindly directed to take any of the ones available. We sat and waited... and after 15 minutes we asked another waiter for the menu. He asked “have you made a reservation?” And we said no, but that the previous waitress invited us over. He didn’t say anything as he was busy, which we took as “ok, he’s busy, let’s wait some more”. After 10 more minutes, still we didn’t get the menu and in the meantime the table next to us got served with people who just showed up. We asked yet again for the menu. 5 more minutes were enough to burn our patience down.

What a waste of time. Poor management and rude personnel (or stressed since the owner only allocated 2 waiters in a fully packed terrace).

Don’t waste your time in such a place as clearly the restaurant’s management doesn’t employ enough personnel and those who work here don’t treat...

Been coming at least twice a month for 18 months plus, my husband more with the golf club. Today was the worst service ever I nearly wore my lunch on more than one occasion. The waiter( I know my french accent is bad) completely implied he didn't understand me. Terrible, it spoilt what is normally a wonderful experience. After a wonderful apology at the desk and possible explanation and offer of aperitif, I would like to say all is forgiven. Its a wonderful place to dine And thank-you for...

We keep coming back to Can Mach. The food is great - nothing fancy - but good home cooked typical dishes of the region at a very good price. Booking is essential, especially at weekends when it does get very busy. The close proximity to France means the restaurants is popular with French people who normally eat earlier than the local Catalan people (12.30 for the French and 2.00pm for the Catalans). The region is also great for wild mushrooms in autumn, especially Ceps.

Great place for an honest meal. Not Michelin stars, but great value for money. No fish (apart from anchovies on tomato bread) but good salad and plain omelette. Why they cannot offer a cheese omelette or a Spanish omelette with veg is odd, but each to their own. Wine list was short but adequate. Outside terrace is gorgeous with views to the east. Inside is large, but still cosy. Service excellent and quick. Meal with good bottle of Spanish Chardonnay came to under €50.
