A Goleta - O Barqueiro — Restaurant in Mañón

I got off the train in O Barqueiro and my jaw dropped at the view - after a long trip of jaw-dropping views. ||I was so glad I booked a room with this view. I had good intentions to go hiking, but was secretly relieved when after my delicious lunch at the restaurant downstairs the thunder clouds rolled in and I had the perfect excuse to watch the storm and read. ||The room itself was large, clean, tasteful, soothing and calm with a great view (did I mention that?), comfy bed and a good shower. It can be noisy as there is a road outside, but there is triple glazing which helps, plus it tends to be quiet at night anyway in these parts. ||Check-in was unfussy, service downstairs was warm. There were a good smattering of locals wandering in for a coffee as well as drive-by diners. ||Recommended. Especially if you book a room...

My husband and I only had one night in Porto do Barquiero (which we regret-such a cute town!) but we have no regrets about staying and eating at Hospedaje a Goleta. We were immediately helped in arrive-we came on bicycles and were excited to check in and lie down. They made sure our bikes were in a safe place for the night and showed us to our room which completely satisfied our needs. We also ate dinner at the restaurant-so delicious! Scallops, salad (one of the best we've had in Spain) and an incredibly delicious pizza. Service again was super quick and friendly! We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. (Also the view is...
