Avoid! Absolute rip off! They charged EUR 35.00 for the fish of the day for 1 person which wasn’t even special.

They did not show the price on their menu board but you wouldn’t even pay that much in any Michelin guide restaurant.

Yes, maybe I should have asked for the price before I ordered the fish but you would expect this in a basic bar that serves some tapas and food.

I expected around EUR 15-22 which seems to be the standard across good restaurants in Menorca.

I was shocked that I was asked to pay over EUR 111.00 for 3 people and we didn’t even have a bottle of wine.

Despite speaking Spanish fluently, the waiter tried to bring us food we didn’t order which we had to send back. I think he must have made up the price because he put the wrong orders in the system and the bar didn’t want to lose any revenue. But that’s not the guest’s fault if a waiter cannot remember what guests ordered.

This is not the way of gaining customers and left a really bad taste. I will never return to this bar/restaurant.

On top of that, the food wasn’t even great. The food was greasy, the fish tasted bitter and the ‘paella de marisco’ was one of the worst paellas my family has ever eaten.

I wish I would have complained at the time but just didn’t want to spoil our day trip.

Instead, go to L’Avi Bernadet around the corner. They consistently serve delicious food at fair prices and also have a ‘menu del día’. No surprise it’s always busy inside...

We had lunch here as a family with kids. Es Grau is a small cozy village on the northeast coast of Menorca. The restaurant was very busy when we presented ourselves, but the management of the queue was orderly and written down. The seating was accordingly, the handling of the recently seated was in the exact same order as entered, which was all very pleasant. The food was really nice, we had tapas for the parents and the hamburguesa completa for the kids. All very good! The tapas was largely freshly fried fish. Excellent. The atmosphere was a typical small bar/restaurant in a small village right on the harbour, relaxed, and very friendly despite all the business of the restaurant. These people work really hard and keep smiling and being helpful. We sat inside on a warm day, cause the terrace was full, it was really OK, cause every window/door was opened and wind was blowing through the small inside. Be mindful to park your car outside the village in the special car park and do not enter...

We came so happily to this cute restaurant, and it happens to be a total rip- off: the waitress sold us a full fish, for 50 euros, and insisted on the fact it was very big for 2 people so she recommended not to take a starter. Half of a small fish arrived on the table. The waitress changed her whole argumentation saying it was always half a fish and not the full one for 50 euros. After looking at the reviews, we realised that some people experienced the same situation. We showed her, she was uncomfortable and finally changed the bill for 30 euros. This kind of abuse is...

I've been twice to this place with my family. Both times I had a great experience. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I tried the black rice and it was exquisite. I strongly recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekend, as there aren't many restaurants in town and this place gets packed very fast. Sometimes you can find a place if you call early the same day, but I recommend calling or stopping by the day before you plan to eat there.
