one of the best squid cooked in squid ink i’ve ever had - taste of the sauce was simply sublime while the squid was cooked perfectly and interestingly had a texture similar to scallop. their rib steak was aged and seared perfectly, they do give you a hot stone to cook the meat to your desired doneness. also recommend the mushrooms with egg yolk and the salmon degustation.

service was top-notch, friendly, warm & helpful - shoutout to the guy from Venezuela!

things that fell short for me: the restaurant can get a bit smoky once everyone starts grilling their meat the tuna tartar was not so much a tartar but more of tuna just marinated in soy sauce, that was served with tempura seaweed that is bought, and the chuka wakama (seasoned sesame seaweed salad) was not very...

Small Restaurant with about 5 tables, so do make reservations ahead of yr visit cos the food and service was excellent!

The wild mushrooms with raw egg yolk was unusual. The salmon in 3 different styles - beetroot, pistachio and seaweed was very good. Squid in ink was excellent. The squid texture tasted somewhat like scallops. The aged rib eye steak for you to cook to your desired doneness on a hot plate was amazing. We planned to have dessert but we just couldn't...

Excelente comida!! Cuando en un restaurante hay buen producto, y luego la mano que lo cocina sabe lo que hace, tenemos un win-win. Como en el caso que nos ocupa; taberna Mikel Bengoa en Meñaka. Ven, que vas a comer bien.

Entrantes: piparras, croquetas, jamón Joselito, tomate con ventresca, percebes, y unas anchoas que te ofrecen de cortesía. Todo muy muy rico, no se le puede poner un pero; bueno sí, uno, aunque quizá sea personal: las piparras podrían haber llevado más sal.

Platos principales: solomillo, txipis y lubina salvaje. Delicioso todo. Estupendo cacho de carne el que me he llevado a la boca, y probados los demás platos, buenísimos.

Postres: tarta de queso fría, brownie y torrijas caramelizada. La torrija, campeona. La tarta y el brownie, no os creáis que ha sobrado algo, 😅, estaban también de chuparse los dedos.

El servicio y la atención, excelente. Los precios, como corresponde a la calidad del producto y el servicio recibido. Puedes comer tanto dentro como fuera del local y aparcar cerca sin problema. Nosotros hemos comido fuera, en la terraza, y a pesar de que hemos coincidido con una boda, nos han atendido rápido y sin problema alguno.

Como punto negativo, en la terraza que estaba llena de gente tomando el aperitivo, unos fumetas en una mesa cercana le estaban dando al porrete y nos han ahumado un poco... Pero vamos, quitando eso, experiencia...
