Stiamo alloggiando nell’albergo perché siamo di passaggio nel tragitto da Granada verso il mare. Il posto all’esterno è molto bello e accogliente, in tipico stile andaluso. Anche se un po’ trascurato all’apparenza. Le stanze, un po’ antiquate e umide. Quando siamo entrati ho sentito un forte odore di umido, e freddo,Forse perché inutilizzata da qualche giorno. Tutto sommato per gli amanti della natura e di una vacanza all’insegna del relax, e senza troppe pretese, il posto per dormire è accettabile. Vi è anche una piscina. Un ristorante e un boschetto dove passeggiare in tranquillità. Ho trovato i tori e gli altri animali appesi imbalsamati un po’ macabri. Ma questo è lo stile andaluso . Devo dire che il ristorante mi ha sorpreso molto !! Abbiamo ordinato poche cose ma tutte davvero molto buone. É un posto spartano , sembra guasi una baitina di montagna . Il prosciutto eccezionale come anche la carne . Abbiamo accompagnato il pasto con un vino rosso della zona, forte ma delicato . La cucina si meriterebbe un bel 5 stelle. Non posso essere della stessa opinione per le camere ma un bel 4 ci sta tutto !

Eigentlich nur 1 Stern, aber das freundliche Personal hat es rausgerissen. Das angeblich schlechte Internet war jedoch hervorragend. Vor jedem Appartement war ein TPlink Wlan Repeater verbaut. Das Hotel, die Anlage und Zimmer sind total heruntergekommen. Dusche schließt nicht, Betten alt und durchgelegen. Muffiger Geruch. Überall stehlt Krempel rum (Schubkarren, Schläuche,…) Es fehlt etwas Liebe. Ph Wert des Pools war so hoch, dass es zu Augenreizungen und Hautschäden geführt hat. Zement löst sich aus den Fugen. Scharfe Kanten, rauer Rand. Preis ist völlig überteuert. Max 35-40€ wäre noch zu viel. Auf unserer Reise mit 90€ pro Zimmer die teuerste und mit Abstand schlechteste Übernachtung. Leider hatten wir 3 Tage gebucht und es wurde direkt der komplette Betrag fällig. Das Frühstück im Restaurant ist wirklich ein Erlebnis für Menschen, die echtes andalusisches Frühstück wollen. Die Gegend selbst bietet echt nix. Für Biker auf der Durchreise sicher ok. All die positiven Bewertungen und Fotos sind Fake. Die Fotos gibts tatsächlich, aber nicht in der Qualität. Da wurde bestimmt nachgeholfen.

Had 2nd breakfast in Cortijo Los monteros on 3rd of January 2024 on the Camino del Estrecho walking from Benalup-Casas Viejas to Medina Sidonia. Best tostada con tomate-aceite on this trip. Great café con leche as well. Busy place, so it was a really nice lively atmosphere

We spent three nights here, using the hotel as a base to explore the area (for butterflies). The rooms were simple but entirely adequate with a good, hot shower and comfy beds. The accommodation block is set well away from the restaurant which is just as well as the restaurant is very popular with the locals, especially on a Sunday morning when it was manic! As a completely non-tourist venue I would be very happy to stay here again. Breakfast was coffee, toast and either butter and jam or local spreads which were excellent and unlimited. We ate the menu of the day for supper and had three very pleasant meals; seafood paella, beef stew and pork slices in a creamy sauce. Beware - the starter salad...

Fist thing: Tripadvisor has - as they do too often - placed this hotel completely wrong. On the map it looks like the hotel is in Medina Sidonia. It is not. It is 15 minutes / 15 KM SW of Medina Sidonia. Never the less this place offers very good value for money, and is fine as a base for touring the area. The room is big with AC, Wifi and fridge. Bathroom big. There is a pool area with sun beds and the whole place has a lot of authentic Andalucian charm. You have breakfast included which is fine, and teethe restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. The staff are very helpfull and service minded. This review is only about the hotel.
