Paddys bar — Restaurant in Mijas

We have been going to this bar/restaurant for 20 years. Recently read reviews that the place is not as it used to be due to staff being inattentive, poor customer service etc. Last week I went in for meal and a drink. Sat down, was serve straight away for the drink. I requested a menu. Menu arrived. Bar staff walked off, flaffing around at the side smoking area, and kept going in and out of bar esther than come over to the table. After about 15 minutes he then came over and asked if I wanted food. To which I replied, "no, I did want food but not anymore ". The another night I went into the bar there were but 8 people there. Two in the corner 4 outside and one sitting at the bar. The woman bar server was over talking to the twi in the corner, I got up from the table, went to the bar where she was still talking ti the customers, who she obviously knew. I then went to the bar thinking, shel will be keeping an eye out for the bar. No. I had to go to the door look out and ask her for a drink. Smith couldn't believe what she said! Waved and said words to the effect " I'll be there in a minute" my husband said I should have walked out. Again yesterday I had to ask the same woman for a drink. I was disappointed. Perhaps the owner(s) could have a word with their staff to show how important good...

Only eaten here twice but it won’t be the last time Staff are super friendly nothing is to much trouble Very clean and the food is fantastic The fish is lovely and white and the batter is delicious I ordered the small fish and chips and thought I’d made a mistake and ordered the large one wow it was huge good job I have a partner to help me out Second time we went in to eat I had the steak and Guinness pie it was to die for the meat was so tender asked for chips to be cooked well.again no problem again had to turn to my partner for help. he had the chicken curry and described it as Fantastic Fantastic menu to choose from very varied Definatley recommended Paddy’s Bar will be back next time we are passing our new favourite...

This used to be a lovely welcoming place which served excellent tasty food, but has now changed hands and the service, food and atmosphere has gone down hill. The young waitress got our order wrong and we pointed this out but a very rude older lady (think this was the owner's wife) berated us in public! We have a holiday home nearby and used to love popping in for a meal now and then, but won't ever step foot inside this place again whilst these rude people are in charge. We will be using and recommending Bar Oasis (a few metres way)...
