Located conveniently close to my location, the new restaurant "Gastrobar 6 Sentidos" exudes a delightful ambiance with its charming decor and inviting atmosphere. However, I must admit that finding the front door of this establishment proved to be quite the challenge.
Upon entering, I was captivated by the stylish interior, tasteful lighting, and thoughtfully curated furnishings, setting the stage for what I hoped would be a memorable dining experience.
However, it took too long for the staff to greet us …. We were left in limbo for several minutes waiting.
The restaurant's menu boasted a delectable selection of dishes from various cuisines, and I eagerly ordered a few items to explore the flavours.
The food itself could have been a highlight of the evening, as each dish could have been carefully prepared, a feast for the eyes and executed with culinary finesse.
However, while the main courses were excellent, I couldn't help but notice the absence of vegetables accompanying most of the dishes. I was fine with the “Solomio Steak” but the other guests were distinctly lacking in vegetables on their plate. One of our guests had a portion of fish on its own….. her response “I would not order this again”
A more balanced approach to portions, including some vegetables or salad, would have been appreciated.
Although the staff at Gastrobar 6 Sentidos were friendly and generally approachable, the overall dining experience was somewhat hindered by two key factors: slow service and communication difficulties. The time it took for the food to arrive at our table seemed a bit longer than expected, especially during peak hours. My cold soup arrived after the others had finished their starters and one our guests fish arrived similarly after the others were half way through their main courses.
The management should focus on streamlining their service to ensure that diners can enjoy their meals promptly without unnecessary delays.
Furthermore, language barriers posed a challenge when trying to communicate with the staff. While they were undoubtedly pleasant, their limited proficiency in English made it difficult to convey specific dietary preferences or inquire about the preparation of certain dishes. Improving their language skills or providing translation aids would significantly enhance the overall dining experience for international or non-native speaking customers.
In conclusion, Gastrobar 6 Sentidos shows tremendous promise with its enchanting ambiance and potentially scrumptious culinary offerings. However, the restaurant would benefit greatly from addressing the issues of slow service and improving staff communication. Incorporating vegetables into the main dishes would also elevate the dining experience and appeal to health-conscious patrons.
If the management can tackle these areas of improvement, I have no doubt that Gastrobar 6 Sentidos will quickly become a go-to spot for food enthusiasts and create a lasting impression on its guests. I look forward to returning in the future to witness the growth of this promising...
Read moreIt’s a brand new restaurant and so we were expecting a few teething problems. But overall it was a wonderful experience. Highlights: The staff were superb. Efficient and friendly and gave helpful suggestions from the menu. It definitely helps if you speak Spanish, which we do. But there are a couple of staff who speak good English. The furnishings inside and outside were to a very high standard. The Wow Factor inside was impressive. The presentation of most of the food was wonderful. The sauces were all delicious. The croquettes, vegetarian option and prawns were delicious. The dessert were well presented and tasted quite nice. Lowlights: The entrance lets the rest of the Wow experience down badly. There are absolutely no signs for the restaurant at the entrance to the restaurant! Plus, no signs outside the commercial centre - to tell you where the restaurant is. We and others were wondering around the centre looking for the restaurant. We then couldn’t even work out which door was the actual entrance! It certainly doesn’t reflect the amazing and well thought out interior. The menu was a bit confusing. With cheaper tapas selections being mixed in with more expensive items. So we weren’t sure at first what was a starter or main. The food itself was inconsistent. Some dishes were barely warm and others a perfect temperature. The bluefin tuna was very disappointing. Mostly bone and fat. Their electronic drinks ordering system failed just after we ordered our drinks. So it took a while to get them. Which they explained promptly and apologised for. But we were 30 minutes late being called to our table during the confusion. Overall: We really think this restaurant is going to be superb in the future. They just need to sort out a few teething problems. But immediately, they need to improve...
Read moreWe came to this new restaurant with a group of 8 people. We have known this resort since before the crisis and were very curious about the first restaurant in the commercial shopping center of Mosa/Altaona. Due to some legal wrangling about the entrance to the resort, there is now 1 somewhat cumbersome new entrance to Mosa/Altaona. The old logical main entrance to the resort is only accessible to residents. So for the time being, everyone must enter the resort via the side road through the new additional entrance and then indicate that they are going to eat at G6S. Then drive back to the commercial center and park there in a very large underground parking garage. (also possible outside on the street) Once arrived ...... What a surprise! The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor terrace (a kind of plaza mayor) for a drink before or afterwards. Our mouths fell open inside. Beautifully decorated and a wonderful ambiance. There is also an outdoor terrace on the other side of the restaurant, but this terrace will soon have to be completed by the owner of the commercial center. The restaurant consists of two parts, where the kitchen separates the two parts. In the specific restaurant section, the menu offers excellent and very nice dishes with an extensive wine list. We really all had a delicious meal. On our evening there was also a live DJ in the other (say grand-cafe) part from 22:00-02:00 and you can also order other smaller tapas and even delicious Dutch snacks. Of course we drank delicious cocktails and drinks there for a few hours. Gastrobar 6 Sentidos, as other reviews have already stated, has a very nice atmosphere and, in our opinion, enormous potential and is indeed a spot to go! In any case, you will see...
