Hotel Venta del Pobre — Restaurant in Níjar

Ok, so this Truck Stop just of the autovia is rated as 2*, but for 60€ I would expect better. A very small room, bed even smaller and it was broken too, we kept sliding into the middle of the mattress! Toilet seat was loose as was the shower door! Whilst on the subject of the shower, it has to be the smallest i've ever used, and i've showered on yachts!...couldn't even bend over.

For those who would want to watch TV you will need a magnifier to find the telly it's that small. WiFi didn't work either. The night staff (girl) was charming and helpful but the morning girl was not so and just shrugged when I mentioned the bed. This area is a haven for truckers and a few locals who live nearby too. The only saving grace was for the restaurant which served honest and tasty Spanish grub which we loved, even catering for my veggie wife which is notoriously difficult in Spain. Use it at...

😊: The hotel is situated beside a motorway and a garage....so it is not 100% quiet....but having said that, I slept very very well. In addition, the location is excellent for a stop off in the area (Nijar, Carboneras, Cabo de Gata)...and is excellent value for money. Furthermore, the adjacent restaurant is also great. I ate there every day of my stay.

The staff were more than helpful. I had a problem with the wifi reception in my room and I received a room upgrade without question. Many other hotels could take a lesson from the staff at Venta del Pobre!. 😢: As mentioned, the wifi reception isn't always strong.....but the staff were extra helpful in solving this...

Hemos alquilado 3 habitaciones, una simple y dos dobles. Una de ellas estaba sin hacer (eran las 2 y pico de la tarde). Entiendo que al entrar y salir la gente a diferentes horas pues se te pueda pasar alguna sin querer. No los culpo, aunque podrían tener un poco de vista y revisar el registro.

Ahora bien, la habitación es un poco cutre, algunas necesitan una mano de pintura, ventanas nuevas con doble acristalamiento y arreglar los armarios, que se desarman si intentas colgar algo. El desayuno no está incluido en el precio 50€ la habitación doble y 30€ una simple.

Y ahora vamos con el principal problema: son más de las 00:50 de la noche y la música de una boda/comunión o lo que fuera que se celebrara en las dependencias sigue sonando bastante alta y sin previsión de acabar. Cada vez que alguien toca al timbre se escucha como si estuvieras ahí y por consiguiente los porrazos de la puerta cerrándose, que ya podrían tener un poco de vista o poner un sistema de cierre Lento por 30-50€. Los coches, cuando pasan por la carretera de al lado (50m de distancia aproximada) se escuchan muchísimo. Y para colmo cuando las otras habitaciones encienden el aire acondicionado, suena como una lavadora centrifugando. Por cierto, cuando la gente de la habitación de al lado usa el baño se escucha toda la cañería...

En fin, bastante decepción, tampoco pedía una suite nupcial en el Palace por este precio, pero si que esperaba al menos, que no hubiera ruidos a estas horas de la noche, ya que hemos venido a dormir.

Siento no poder daros más puntuación, pero son demasiados contras...
