The staff here were fantastic. The owner was extremely nice and very helpful when asking about the different dishes. There were 9 of us consisting of adults and children and we were given a lot of free stuff to eat and drink for the whole party - just to try it, with no obligations. I think we all thought the food here was pretty spectacular. It was so good that we actually visited twice. I had the fois gras, grilled snails and their signature duck on a hot stone.

The fois gras was absolutely beautiful, and it was a large enough portion that I could share it with the other 5 adults that were dining so that they could taste how good it was.

I didn't try it but apparently the black rice was also great.

Visited Hostal Les Piques for the second time, this time with six of us. The owner is super friendly and made sure the food was perfectly to our wishes. Acabo de salir del restaurante y no he podido coontenerme. Mi crítica hacia este bodrio-restaurante es enorme; y digo bodrio porque tengo mis razones. Ahí van:

En primer lugar todo correcto, un buen lugar en el que cenar. Un ambiente natural en el que se puede escuchar el canto de los grillos.

Tras tomarnos nota en un tiempo prudencial, y esperar nuestros platos, nos llega un espléndido piedra-entrecort y un Magret de foie petrificado. Tras haber hecho lo que pudimos con nuestros platos, decidimos desistir y comentar la situación de nuestras carnes con los camareros.

En cuanto al entrecort, tras decir que estaba muy duro, la camarera nos ofreció la carta de los postres. Esa fue la respuesta.

Genial. Nos han hecho un caso de la hostia.

Pero lo peor no es una carne más dura que otra, una carne más pasada que otra... lo peor es el trato que nos han dado como personas por parte del responsable.

El responsable ha ofrecido a todas las mesas, tras haberse sentado en ellas de charloteo, un porrón de moscatel y su respectivo postre (a cargo de la casa) y los comensales de segunda (nosotros) como si solo les importara el dinero.

Así pues, a cualquier parte que vaya, en cualquier lugar y a cualquier hora, diré que en este restaurante no es que se coma mal o bien (porque eso a veces es suerte, un mal día lo tiene cualquiera...) diré que te tratan como si fueras de segunda o de tercera. No eres bienevenido a este lugar si no eres de toda la vida. Siempre harán diferencias y nunca te sentirás acogido.
