La Mimbrera — Restaurant in Orce

When we originally walked in at 14:15, we were impressed by the atmosphere and drawn in by the menu options including pizza for our kids.

After we sat down, there were at least three tables that came in after us that had prompt service including drinks and first course before we even ordered our drinks.

We then had to revise our order when he listed off a bunch of sections they didn’t have for lunch including the pizzas.

When the appetizer tapas was brought we were already so fed up from waiting that my wife suggested tossing down some cash and just leaving. Not having other food options in Orce, we stayed.

The jamon y queso took 50 minutes to arrive, the shrimp had a VERY gritty texture, and the remaining chicken wings and pork loin took well over an hour to arrive after order.

This was hands down our worst food experience in Spain so far (we have been in the country over 4 weeks), the cleanliness was questionable, it was expensive for the value, and it seemed like they catered to the locals at the expense of the tourists.

Recommend avoiding at all costs! Will...

If I could give minus star I would, the service was beyond terrible it was very bad. We waited an hour 30 minutes for 1 course (and it wasn't worth the wait) there were 5 tables of people all arrived after us and were all served food before us and some had all 3 courses paid and left before our food came out. Simply unacceptable service. The grilled pork loin was OK, the steak was awful, worst I've ever eaten anywhere. Edito la reseña para poner MUCHO CUIDADO, nos ha cobrado 2€ más de cada entrecotte de lo que ponía en carta y habiendo pedido 4 cañas, han cobrado 11, adjunto foto carta y ticket. Pese a que la comida es buena, es una lástima que no hemos podido comer lo que queríamos ya que desde que hemos empezado a pedir, prácticamente no tenían nada de lo que ponía en carta, he tenido que pedir 40 min después de llegar que por favor alguien nos tome nota, teníamos reserva a las 15:00, son las 16:40 y aún no hemos comido, solo tenemos los entrantes, el camarero da mala atención, hace sentir que te trata de tonto, en la carta, ponen burrata con Pedro Ximenez y es una bola de mozzarella pero cobrada a precio de burrata, fatal experiencia, para no volver, si vas saturado y no puedes dar servicio, dilo, pero no des este trato a una mesa...
