3.5* Some reviews are straightforward. This one is as tricky as a high-wire between 2 mountains. The view is fine, the service friendly. We 2 order what would have been enough for 5 people. Thankfully, kinda, 1 dish was off the menu, the lamb shoulder was replaced by lamb leg, and the baccalao that they won prizes for, replaced the aioli with mayonnaise, which we decided was a bad sign .bacalao with mayonnaise, although a close cousin of aioli, is like pastrami with Dijon Mayo, not American mustard; it sounds like a small difference, but it's men peeing in a toilet; small differences make a big mess (ladies know this better than we do). Thank goodness we rejected it. The salad with caramelised goat cheese has potential. The cheese is a good start, but the caramelisation finishes before consumption takes place. The rest of the salad is painted by numbers, and again, we are reminded that tomato season is not here yet. If restaurants have to use these rocks, at least get them in 10 days before you need them and get some flavour/colour happening. It's what we restaurateurs do. Some may have to go into the local tomato soup on the menu, but that's a win-win. The lamb leg dish arrives; it's a lamb leg alright...a whole leg! Thank goodness lambs meet their end sooner here than they do in Australia, where a leg feeds 8 people. Still, this would comfortably feed 4. We do our best not to have this life lost in vain. The meat is pretty good, and the juices, onions, and potatoes are all credible. More juices would help. We would have had dessert, but sadly, we haven't got the language skills to discern the offers, related by voice. Our bad... This place is a bit strange, but I think with another visit, we would learn how to get...
Read moreBusy place with lots of regulars who get the best service. One off visitors, not so much. One or two servers were very polite and attentive but another we found abrupt. Meat quality is excellent and tasty band huge quantities which might be a bonus for people with larger appetites. I would prefer sauces on the side rather than all over my food though; a personal thing. We were told we could have one type of potato option despite seeing other things like chips on review photographs which was a bit strange. Beautiful views from the outdoors seating area and a bustling ambience...
Read moreWe absolutely love this place-the view to the valley and mountains are stunning! Lady who served us is smiling and very friendly! We got some tapas to our beer which was so simple yet delicious-tosted ciabatta or some white bread with olive oil and freshly cut jamon! Our main meal was Abanico Iberico(again, lady helped us with the choice) and Carrilera-pork cheeks in red wine! Served with boiled potatoes-it was so juicy, so fabulous! We will be back! I recomend this place on your way to the beautiful mountains and valeys that we...
