We’ve been on the island for two weeks. First week we stayed in the north in Coralejo and the second in the south around Morro Jable. Trying lots of restaurants all over we were a bit disappointed by the quality of the food, but I can honestly say that I was absolutely blown away by how good the food was here. I didn’t expect it because when I checked the reviews it had only 4.1* but it was our only option to stop and eat as we were heading down to Cofete Beach.
The service was very friendly and surprisingly quick.
We had the Garlic Prawns, the Goat Meat and the Grilled Squid. The goat meat was the best I’ve ever had, very savory and delicious, but be wary it is also very fatty. The French fries were also tasty because they had fresh fries and not frozen.
Besides the fact that the food was amazing it was also quite a lot. It was more than enough for me to fill my belly and keep in mind I hadn’t had any food on the day until 14:30 when we ate there.

Read moreBeen here a few times over the years, always welcoming and friendly service. For the first time this year (2023) we almost didn't get a table, as it was very busy. Sadly I have yet to eat here, as this is a remote location, so I've always ended up eating before arriving - next time, I will make sure because having seen others' orders, it looks great.
Keep in mind the remote nature of Cofete - electricity here is from a generator and small wind turbine. Although the restaurant/cafe is very probably open, don't rely on that for hydration! Bring plenty of bottled water in your car/4x4 and maybe some snacks, and make sure you have plenty of fuel at Morro Jable before setting off - allow at least an hour from Morro Jable, the "road" is rough and hairpin after hairpin. The Cofete road has become more popular over time, so take it easy and remember there will always be someone less confident than you on this rough track, which has some huge drops and...
Read moreThis is not a restaurant, is an small business in the middle of nowhere whit no tap water and only for this reason ( which can't be changed because of the nature of the place) you can fell like in Flintstones cartoons. Experience is grat but to expect luxury as you will be very disappointed. I whent on the safe side whit an ice cream but I was disappointed as you can felt the lack of power of the electricity (which probably is solar or windy or something like that) or mabe even mising of it for some time and the ice cream it was just nearly melted already. I didn't dare to go to toilet as they have to carry the water from a long way to use it in ther so I let my imagination go wild but still didn't reach the tales other people say on...
