El Xiringuito de Can Blau — Restaurant in Palamós

Location right on the beach amongst other tourist traps BUT The food was excellent and tasty, portions were tapas like (not as big as other places but good for 1-3 people). The prices also reflected this, a tortilla was about 7-8€ as were the patatas bravas (which were excellent). We were 2 people and took 5 tapas and it was almost too much. Definitely order : patatas bravas, xipirones, tortilla! Absolutely great food and great value for money, thank you guys for the effort you put into the food, service, price...

Very nice looking chiringuito on the beach of la Fosca, beautiful view of the bay. After waiting for 20 mins for someone to help us we got the menu. Looked very promising. After another 20 mins of waiting we were able to order. What a disappointment… Food was tasteless, fish doesn’t look like what I ordered and my daughter’s tortilla was one from the supermarket. Nice setting on the beach. The food was overpriced and some dishes were badly cooked. €12.5 for 6 pieces of fried, overcooked, and chewy squid rings. Terrible! The bravas were good but still €9.5 for quite a small plate. The monk fish was cooked okay but covered in olive oil, so that's all you could taste. Plus, it was €22 which is not good value at all. You'll need a second dinner...
