Hermanos Romero Restaurante — Restaurant in Paracuellos de Jarama

We thought we would give this place a try based on not bad reviews on Google.

Sadly though we didn't have the same experience some had.

There was a limited menu which is understandable as it is quiet this time of year and it was the midweek.

I ordered a cheeseburger with chips and the burger come undercooked and so did the chips. I literally bit into it seen so much raw meat I spat it back out on my plate. I wouldn't mind pink but this was raw. Its not like they were busy so don't know why they needed to rush the food so I sent it back. Rather then cook me a fresh burger they just chucked the burger back on the griddle for another minute and brought it back out with the same bit of uncooked burger I had needed to spit out left on my plate. To be honest I couldn't bring myself to continue eating it made me feel sick.

I can't fault the service. Just a shame about the rest of it.

So I have to say the area we are staying in is very worn down and industrial. This was the only restaurant that was within walking distance and open. I read many reviews both good and bad.. a lot from years ago. I wanted to post something current (sept 2025). I wish I took pictures.. They have a large outdoor seating area, a bar/diner area and when more people arrived they have a dining room. It is not fancy but we had a great meal. We had a few complimentary tapas with our drinks and my husband and I shared a salad and steak. It was more than enough food for us. Maybe not for everyone but it had a homey local family owned restaurant feel. Our steak was a bit on the rare side but it melted in your mouth.. delicious. The restaurant is pretty out of place, as expected considering the fact that it's situated in an industrial area. But it's close to a nearby hotel and not too far from the Madrid Airport, which makes it a good stop during your trip. The food was really good, you can tell the quality of the ingredients is something the owners care about; the prices are also fair for the food you get, the portions are big enough to fill you and leave you satisfied.
