This is an edited review as the initial response of the restaurant was very rude. That's also the reason I gave 1 star, initially I gave 3 stars. I believe any business which doesn't respond respectfully doesn't value its customers and doesn't want to grow either. Food was not bad at all, didn't imply that, the rendang was very tasty actually, but the other dishes were just too bland for my taste, Indonesian food I had in the past was bursting with flavour. Nasi goreng sate was tasting more dry by the time we got to eat it because the peanut sauce was mixed with the rice. When I got the takeaway sauce didn't come separately, so it's great you do it now in separate containers. Maybe it was a mistake with my order? I didn't ask for more sugar, but yes more sauce it's ok to ask for in any cuisine. I have been to Indonesia and China, familiar with both cuisines and love them both when prepared authentically. We had a couple of special needs (cucumber allergy and a pescatarian) which we advised beforehand and were perfectly catered for Superb service from Masha who made us feel instantly welcome, explained all the dishes in English, and all of which went down a storm. It’s lovely to have something a little bit different to the usual tapas/platos and on our doorstep too....
