I have eaten twice now at this restaurant, the first time was with friends and family and we had booked for the tasting and pairing menu. Not to bad for what we had, but not great. I always like to give places a second chance, and I have been lucky to have travelled around the world and eaten in some of the best Michalin stared🌟 restaurants, (SORRY BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM). On a recent visit with family and friends, we went out for lunch. The restaurant has stunning views and vistors over the fields and mountains from the outside terrace and bar. (AS FOR THE FOOD). To start we had 3 different plates of tapas, one was like eating weetabix, and another was a cheese cake (NOT FOR A STARTER). There was one or two things that where well presented and tastes ok, but I think the chef was trying to hard, and his ideas were pretty much a bit of a mess. The mains came to the table, we had ordered the pork in a mustard sauce, a salmon dish and chicken, which came with mashed potatoes or was it possible it might have been parsnips with prunes (IT DID NOT TASTE OFF MUCH) and the chicken and pork looked the same on the plates, and it was hard to tell them apart. The deserts were very nicely presented and they were very nice. (I CAN NOT SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT THIS PLACE. IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND YOU HAVE TO DRIVE OR GET A TAXI TO GET THERE). A FANTASTIC VIEW, GREAT SERVICE, PRISTINE TABLES AND CLASS WHERE, AND A EXCELLENT WINE CELLER DO NOT MAKE A RESTAURANT. With out a chef in the centre of everything running the kitchen you have not got a restaurant. ( TO THE CHEF.) TRY AND MAKE THE MENU MORE SIMPLE. She clearly spoke good English (she may even have been English) so it couldn’t have been a misunderstanding due to language issues. On asking for the bill the rude manner was again evident. We only had four drinks so it may have been due to a misplaced resentment for not ordering food. When we left my brother in law asked a waiter if he could speak with the manager to complain about the rude service. He was informed that the manager was very lady that had served us and whom we wished to complain about ! We abandoned the cause and left.
The whole encounter was doubly disturbing given that we had spent a lot of money at this establishment hosting my son’s wedding reception. This was nearly 10 years ago and he has expressed a wish to revisit the place, with guests, to celebrate his 10th wedding anniversary. Read moreThe food is out standing! Unfortunately, The reservation system is not good, it took 3 trys to make a reservation and then it booked 2 people instead of 4 as I asked for. I emailed you 4 days before my reservation and never got a reply. When my guest arived, the hostess was rude to them, and made a big fuss about the reservation being for 2, bot 4. When I arrive, she was still going on about it, and when I tried to explain and she just walked off. On top of all this, we came to have lunch a visit with one another, having been told about the peaceful atmosphere. Except there was the worst Flaminco show ever going on.Then to top it off, we were forced to pay 5 euros per person to have it blasting in our ears. I would have paid 10 euros for them to stop.
