We arrived punctually for a late dinner at 21:30. I was starving already. The place is gorgeous: a beautiful garden with pear and apple trees and an exhibition of old coaches. When we reached the dining area we witnessed a weird conversation between waitress and guests. The conversation was clearly pointless and we were just standing there waiting to be seated. It took five minutes for a fine lady to arrive, great us with a firm handshake and lead us to our table. Twenty minutes later we asked another waiter for some water to drink and hopefully for a menu. Fifteen minutes later the same fine lady came to take the orders: we had been already more than half an hour at the restaurant, I was still starving but at least I had got some water. A few minutes later some bread slices arrived to entertain my hunger: I ate them all. About 40 minutes after placing the order the starter arrived: a tasteful, actually delicious argentinian pasty “empanada” right out of the frying pan. I got excited: at least the long waiting time was worth something if the kitchen could produce more than plain decent food! It was a mirage. After another 30 minutes the main arrived: a countryside paella. It was a disaster: the rice was tasteless, lacking even salt and was floating on a thick layer of oil. We could not eat it, just the legumes accompanying the rice. And that was all, we asked for the bill and left. We must have been lucky though because other tables were taking even longer. This might not have bothered them much because they were drinking spirits and we were not; another lady walked with her dish into the kitchen with gea y complaints... And all in all witnessing the most weird behaviour of some waitress who kept on having pointless conversations with guests failing to understand that guests want to be served and not entertained. This restaurant is not run by locals and the menu is not of local food: it has a beautiful setting but terrible staff, although a couple of them looked very embarrassed about the whole experience and I feel sorry for them. They should speak up to management and explain why customers leave angry and why they do not leave a tip on the table, why customers are polite and will nit complain to avoid conflict which will spo the night, but it does not mean that they had a nice meal. Basically it spoiled our last evening...
Read moreWe have just eaten here and we're extremely impressed. This restaurant has changed ownership since mediocre reviews last year. Alex and her staff were very welcoming and polite from the moment we arrived. Nothing was a problem. We were attracted by the good sized children's play area as well as a good menu. Lovely dining space with quality feel and finish. Kids were very well accommodated throughout allowing us to enjoy our meal. We had Majorcan bread to start which involved rubbing your own garlic into bread and spreading with fresh tomatoes and oil. We shared a cod and vegetable paella while kids had chicken and mash and spaghetti bolognase which was promptly polished off! Great deserts and coffee accompanied with good rose wine. All very good value for money and will return again while we are here. Service was in good time and we had no reason to find any fault with our dining experience. Great to come across a good value and polite restaurant among a sea of so many in the pollenca area. I would urge Alex to promote the quality kids play area more as it is a real bonus for families with kids of all ages. Highly recommend with a good menu to cater...
Read moreI recently dined at a charming local restaurant and was completely blown away by the exceptional experience it offered. The moment I stepped in, I felt as though I was entering a warm family home, ready to indulge in a delightful dinner. The food, prepared to order, was simply outstanding, and the freshness of each dish made the wait well worth it.
Every bite was a flavor explosion, and the attentive service felt like being welcomed into a beloved aunt's home for a cozy meal. The ambiance exuded the essence of a traditional Spanish household, creating a comforting and inviting atmosphere. My young daughter was also thrilled with the special attention she received – from the playground available for playtime to the thoughtful provision of coloring books and color pencils to keep her entertained.
The staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs, engaging us in delightful conversations and ensuring our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. This restaurant truly excels in creating a welcoming environment where both adults and children can feel at home while savoring delicious food and enjoying...
