This breathtaking peninsula is a true natural wonder, boasting stunning cliffs, pristine beaches, and panoramic views that will leave you in awe. It's no surprise that it attracts a lot of visitors, and unfortunately, the popularity can make finding parking quite challenging.

Despite the parking struggle, the beauty of Cap de Formentor is worth the effort. As you drive along the winding road, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Mediterranean Sea and the dramatic coastline. Be prepared to stop at various viewpoints to capture the awe-inspiring landscapes and take in the fresh sea breeze.

The highlight of Cap de Formentor is the iconic lighthouse perched atop the rugged cliffs. The lighthouse offers a vantage point like no other, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the surroundings and appreciate the power of nature. Be sure to explore the nearby hidden coves and pristine beaches, where you can relax, swim, and bask in the glorious sunshine.

If finding a parking spot proves difficult, consider visiting during less crowded times, such as early mornings or weekdays. Alternatively, you can opt for public transportation or even explore organized tours that provide transportation and insider knowledge of the area.

While the busyness and parking challenges can be frustrating, the natural splendor of Cap de Formentor is something you won't want to miss. So, with a little bit of patience and planning, venture to this magnificent destination and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty that Mallorca...

Far de Formentor is an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling to Mallorca. Perched on the northernmost tip of the island, this iconic lighthouse offers breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged coastline, crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, and dramatic cliffs that seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon.

The journey to the lighthouse is an experience in itself. The winding mountain roads are lined with stunning vistas, making it hard not to stop at every turn for a photo. If you’re an early riser, visiting at sunrise is magical, as the soft golden light bathes the landscape in truly unforgettable hues. Sunset visits are equally spectacular, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere.

Far de Formentor is not just about the views; it’s a place where nature and history meet. The lighthouse, built in 1863, is an impressive structure, and its location symbolizes the meeting point of isolation and beauty. There’s a small café nearby where you can enjoy a coffee or snack while soaking in the surroundings, adding a touch of relaxation to the adventure.

A tip for visitors: arrive early in the peak summer months to avoid crowds and secure parking. For those who love hiking, the nearby trails provide a unique perspective of the area and are worth exploring.

Overall, Far de Formentor is an awe-inspiring destination that captures the essence of Mallorca’s natural beauty. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or just seeking a peaceful escape, this place is guaranteed to leave you in awe. Highly...

Visited Faro de Formentor 15.07 2023. Access: The road is closed during summer time, and you will have to take a bus. This bus has a tap in/tap out system using your credit card. If you enter another bus (every 30minutes or so) within 2 hours the ride is for free. This lets you explore places on the way such as the viewpoint (stunning view with 260m drop) and Cala Figuera (pebble beach with wild goats) if youre willing to do the 10minute hike. Here i recommend shoes rather than sandals. The Lighthouse: Reaching the Lighthouse you gain access to a stunning view of the northernmost point of Mallorca and the mountains surrounding it. There is also a cafe selling simple food (baguettes, pizza slices etc..). The place loses a star due to the que at the parking lot where we took the bus from, even though we visited during high season the wait seemed a bit long.. Would reccommend if you have time to spare and are interesed in something unique. We spent around 4 hours on the trip in total (viewpoint, Cala Figuera and the Lighthouse).

Formentor Lighthouse on the island of Majorca offers a remarkable experience for those who appreciate adventurous trips. The journey to the parking area by car involves navigating through winding and narrow roads, which adds a touch of excitement for enthusiasts. The breathtaking views accompany travelers throughout both the car and bus rides. Once at the Formentor hill, the scenery continues to impress, with stunning vistas and a panoramic view of the sea from three different directions. At the summit, there is a restaurant/cafè bar, although we did not venture inside during our visit. We spent less than 10 minutes at the top, capturing beautiful photographs before returning on the same bus. It's worth noting that parking at the bottom is charged at a rate of 0.06 euros per minute, and payment can be conveniently made with a debit or credit card. These facilities add convenience to the overall experience.
