As Furnas — Restaurant in Porto do Son

Came here for an evening meal mid week. I looked at the menu in the afternoon and there were 2 menus, one which included main meals of fish and meat. They start their evening meals at 8pm, but only have the ‘small’ menu without the main meals… The menu is quite small. However the service was very good, with very good wine and we selected octopus and scallops with chips and salad as our meal. The quality was very good, the waiter attentive and the place very clean, although we were the only people in the restaurant - there were others sitting outside- so the ambience was muted although the sunset was wonderful to see.. Very good value for money overall and open for drinks and snacks...

Be careful..prices differ from the menu and u get things u didn't order and unlike most of the other places in Spain u get charged for it. We got bread with the cheese we ordered. And thought this would be just a free addition like everywhere else..though we got charged for the bread as well. Vine was like a euro more expensive than the menu price. In general just left with a sad feeling we got ripped off just cause we're tourists..shame...

Amazing place, overlooking the beach and serving wonderful food. We had fantastic Chiperones (baby squid) very tender and fried in the lightest batter possible for 8€, a light ensaladilla with tuna for 4€ and a gigantic Ham roll for 3.20€. considering the position and the fact that there is nowhere else eat nearby this place deserves 6 stars, 5 for the food and location and an extra 1...
