Hostal Mallorquines — Restaurant in Riudarenes

Having stayed at this Hostel many times over the last 5 or so years (that really is a good and friendly budget hotel just off the main A7 route when heading further down the Spanish costas) I cannot rate it highly enough!.|Any hotel that can give you good comfortable en-suite rooms with a set 3 course evening meal and local wine for under £50 a night for two sharing must be considered - the fact that you can stroll down to the local station to train it into the centre of either Barcelona or Girona for just a few euros more makes it even better and if driving you have half a dozen beaches or more just 20mins away. |True its not going to be a week plus stay and its friendly Catalan staff may not always understand you but its a taste of real Spain with good wholesome Spanish food and drink on tap at almost silly prices for the area and ease of transport so call in if you get the chance as you will not be...

We flew into Girona airport on Ryan Air pretty late at night, and after renting a car, we made our way to Hostal Mallorquines. It was about 15 minutes' drive at 11 PM at night. It was a bit difficult to find in the dark even though we had a GPS leading the way, but when we did, we were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The desk-clerk was very helpful and even asked if we needed anything from the kitchen which had already closed. We had a twin ensuite room that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean with a shower and bathtub. The next morning we ate a filling breakfast of eggs, french fries, thick slabs of bacon, and bread at the restaurant.
