Restaurante Columbus Playa — Restaurant in San Cristóbal de La Laguna

Today I learned a new word: Vexatious. The definition of the word is "causing or tending to cause annoyance, frustration, or worry" or as my definition would be "restaurant Columbus playa".

I would strongly advice you to NOT show up to this restaurant, unless you're not hungry, have at least 1-2 hours of spare time and appreciate bad and slow service.

Me and my two friends ended up here looking for something to eat for lunch. The view was nice on that sunny day and since there wasn't to many other options in sight, we sat down.

I wish that I would be lying to you when I'm telling you that we sat there for 2 hours in total for a simple meal each.

Initially we waited 30 minutes to even get the attention of the waitress. Then we ordered a cola each and all three of us took the same meal as well. After circa 15 minutes came bread (without the drinks). After another 5-10 minutes came our cola cans. And after another 20-30 minutes our food came in at last.

The food was sub-par at best. A very average plate of fried fish.

In all honesty I can tell you that we have no idea how this place is rated anywhere above a 2 star. Just for the icing on the cake we had to wait additionally 15-20 minutes for us just to be able to pay and leave. We actually tried to make eye contact or call them over but they blatantly ignored us.

To call this place vexatious is almost to gentle in my opinion but its me and my friends honest truth. We Will Not Come...

I thought I had been to bad restaurants in my lifetime, until I went here. Firstly, we waited for 30 minutes just for the waitress to even give us the menu. The drinks took another solid 30 minutes to arrive (three cokes), followed by our food one hour later, ONE HOUR!! At least we thought it could be worth it if the food was astonishing, HA. Some soggy french fries, rubbery fish and no taste, how amazing. We just wanted to pay and get out of there and guess what, another 20 minutes for the check to arrive.

So if you feel like waiting over 2 HOURS! for some meh-food i recommend, otherwise you might aswell go down to the water and catch some crabs...

Es la 3 ves que voy y la última.. la primera ves que fui pues pensé bueno no es nada del otro mundo pero bueno, la segunda ves que fui aparte que la mayoría de las veces tienes que levantarte tu y bajar las escaleras para ir a buscar tu comida y tu bebida porque son MUY LENTOS Y OLVIDADIZO.. Aparte ese día me pareció muy feo que Avia 1 chico tomandose su caña en la mesa y vinieron y le dijeron que se fuera para el muro a pleno sol para desocupar la mesa porque Avia gente esperando, asta las personas que estaban esperando le dijeron que no les importaba que estubieras hay con ellos tomandose la caña en la mesa.. Eso se lo dijo el camarero el señor Mayor que se fuera.. Y ayer ya ni digo el peor desastre del mundo... Aparte de ser los primeros que estábamos awita para traer la comida.. Te traen el pan la bebida se olvidan,tengo que ir a buscarla yo.. Y no aviendo nadie más que 2 mesas... Los calamares como siempre más Finos que solo vas a comer Arina no calamar.. El pulpo invisible solo pimiento y cebolla.. Le pides agua fría y de lo que tardan te llega caliente la botella..el queso asado el más asqueroso que te puedas comer en tenerife quemado, duro y con sabor raro... Las sardinas las trajeron y tube que bajar a pedir las papas arrugadas y el mojo porque sino no suben.. Y por cierto hay que limpiar las sardinas mejor por si lo leéis..le pides 1 caña que solo es abrir el grifo que trabajo de camarero y se lo que digo no entiendo como tardan muchísimo...horrible la comida pague casi 60 euros por comida que realmente horrible el trato y la comida..les recomiendo al que lo lea esto que vaya a comer a la picotera y al altagai están debajo del apartamento y el trato y la comida son genial.. No 1 sitio como el Columbus que pedir 1 cortado se molestan... El único camarero que vale es el chico de las gafitas...Como se lo pidas a la chica y al otro chico vais arreglado no...
