El Rancho - San Isidro — Restaurant in San Isidro

Abosolutely terrible!!!Just had a lunch at El Rancho San Isidro. It is my husbands 66th birthday, We weren't given a choice as to what we could have just given the 20 euro menu 6 courses(?) , consisting of (1) bread, (2), salad, (3) starter of which there is no choice, (4) main course - should have been a choice of fish, pork, steak or chicken, but no pork and no fish, but the 2 dishes with a supplement of 5 euros were available, steak and chicken. (Surprise) (5) dessert again no choice just a small piece of chocolate cake with desicated coconut on top. and then (6) coffee . The steak was inediable I sent mine back as it had not been cooked enough, the chicken I'm told was dry. When some of our party went outside to have a smoke there is a menu on the tables advertising a 15 euro menu the same as the 20 but without the starter or pudding, this was not offered. We complained about the lack of choices and the state of the meat, but were still charged. We will not be going back there until someone else takes it on. Waste of money and ruined my...

On visiting this restaurant tonight from a fair distance from San Isidro, the experience at this establishment was second to none. All the staff were friendly that attended us tonight, especially Lovely, whose customer service was excellent. It was also nice to meet Cristiano the Chef, who took the time to leave the kitchen and greet us in person. We will definitely be returning here and recommend everyone to visit this little gem. We ordered the €15 Thursday and Friday steak menu and we can honestly say this was the best steak we have tasted during our time in Spain so far. Been on 5 occasions, 3 breakfasts and 2 Sunday lunches. Each time there was an issue with our orders. Once 2 large breakfasts turned up instead of 1 large and 1 small, another time, breakfast turned up without included toast, also had to ask for salt and pepper, Sunday lunch during summer ran out of beef at 3pm despite us booking, also no Aircon and plastic seats, very uncomfortable, next time they had beef, but unfortunately I could have soled my shoe with it! Pointed it out to waitress, she said "sorry about that" but did nothing to rectify it! To compound our frustration, it wasn't busy either time. I think we've given them enough...
