Great view for sunset, quite friendly and helpful staff, nice music (when the random dj stopped playing music over other music)
food (burger and fries) was horrific - it came out red inside in approximately 4 minutes, even though we asked for it to be well done. And the fries were those frozen ones you get from a late night fast food shop, but the next day, cold and dry. Like powder. Honestly the worst I’ve ever eaten including from kebab shops. They even just threw condiment packets all over the top of the fries, presumably to hide them.
Just go for a drink at sunset if you can find a table that is... Also guys what is with la manga places like this reserving all the tables for people all evening even though no one turns up until long after sunset at like 10pm? It just results in a whole bunch of empty tables whilst the sun is still up - I’ve never seen this outside of here. It’s like putting towels on your empty deck chairs so you can...
Read moreThe restaurant has decent views, although the beach was infested with jellyfish. The service provided by the waiters was exceptional.
However, my experience was greatly ruined by the woman in charge, who I believe was the manager ("la encargada").
We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday and ordered a beer. The manager informed us that we would only have enough time for a quick drink, as they were about to close, even though their official closing time was listed as 1am.
Also, when there was a mistake with my order, the manager showed no customer service skills whatsoever.
Despite the mistake being the restaurant's fault, she did not take the initiative to come to our table and apologize. Instead, I had to approach the counter myself. Furthermore, her apology felt insincere. While we were able to reach a resolution, the manager's poor customer service has left a negative impression on us, and as a result, we do not plan on returning to this...
Read moreGreat location - and probably above average food - however I can't help but feel that 'tourists' have a lesser status than 'locals' in this establishment. We've been travelling to La Manga for 30+ years - and are quite happy speaking Spanish - but the minute we were seated and started talking (to each other) in English, the service seemed to drop-off massively. It was the same for the non-Spanish speaking tables either side of us (German/Skandi)? We all sat and watched on in disbelief as groups (and groups) of locals were seated, engaged with, and served promptly - whilst everything we ordered seemed to take forever, and was almost thrown in our direction when it arrived. Very disappointing and one for us to avoid for...
