El Fogón — Restaurant in San Martín del Tesorillo

We had a great experience at El Fogón overall. The food was delicious, especially the Caesar salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and probably one of the best we’ve had.

That said, we had to wait nearly 2 hours for our barbecue, which was quite frustrating. Once it finally arrived, it was worth the wait — but the long delay definitely took away from the experience.

If you go, I recommend ordering something to start while you wait. The food is excellent, but be prepared for a slow kitchen, especially...

Sunday lunchtime had Spanish menu only, no pizzas, but that was what we wanted, so was fine! Menu included huevos de chocos a la plancha which we had not seen on a menu before, so tried. The texture was a little scallop like, very tasty. Bringing a party to El Fogon after checking it was open via the link. Well not surprise it was closed on a Friday lunchtime even though it states open. Will definately not be bringing a party again.
