Sa Palmera — Restaurant in Sant Antoni de Portmany

Soooooooo disappointing. We went to this restaurant accidentally as the restaurant in front was closed. In the beginning we were waiting at the queue to have a table, which was normal as the restaurant felt busy. Soon many tables started leaving, there were at least 4 available, but the waiter was keep ignoring us. Finally we asked her if we can sit and have some drinks if they're too busy to place food order. After around 30 minutes the waitress came to take the food order, the food arrived quickly. The food was really average, we ordered Fritz Dr pulpo, which tested liked smoked pepper as they clearly added too much of it, then lamb, which was tiny and waaaaay overcooked and then black rice, which was totally overcooked and didn't have any flavour. We left 75% of the rice and the waitress didn't even ask if it was something wrong with it, she ust took it from the table. Most of the time we had go to the bar to ask if the waitress can come. Never, never again and I highly DONT...

There were 2 restaurants next to each other. Sa Palmera(SP) was open, the other was closed for siesta. Missed even looking at the menu. SP did a range of food, none of which were pizza or pasta. I would say they were aiming for local style (lol) until I found their meal of the day was schnitzel! (it's German). It was lovely tomato, red onion a small serving of chips, with a Spanish standard of olives, aioli and bread accompaniment. I could go on about the happy waitress, natural setting, birds tweeting and so on but I'll just say it's a very nice...

I rarely write reviews but unfortunately this place really left a bad impression. We stopped here for some drinks and snacks, since it looked like a nice place. Unfortunately the waitress was so rude and evidently annoyed with us being there that afterwards we left the place stressed and in a bad mood. The food was not great either...
