Ca La Calma — Restaurant in Sant Joan de Labritja

Arrived at 14:47, and ordered almost directly. We noticed the paella was taking quite long so we decided to order pan con aioli which to start was one if not the worst we’ve experienced on the island or even in Spain. By 15:40 we started questioning the waitresses about our paella (for 2 persons) to which they answered « pregunta » after which they started avoiding eye contact and never came back to let us know how long we would have to wait. When 15:50 arrived I noticed that the 3 table around us were in the same situation, I then decided to go ask for the bill to which he responded « it’s coming now! now! » in a reassuring tone but 5 minutes later still nothing we then left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody if our experience wasn’t enough to discourage you their prices are very high in comparison to their neighbours who offer the same food faster. And to end the service was very badly organised as they needed 2 waitress to serve a paella?? We’re making nonstop back in forth to take drink rather than using...

Lets start with what was good: location is beautiful, the beer was cold and the service was fast. BUT we ordered the pasta and the sauce was cold, we ordered a steak but we got a rib-eye, and a hamburger which was still VERY raw on the inside. The food is on a pricy side and that would not be a problem if the food was good.

Because speaking English was difficult with the staff and we cannot speak Spanish we didn’t tell the restaurant in the moment.

Having made the first ordet...After waiting 45minutes, another lady came and retook the order, meaning the previous order hadn't even been given to the kitchen. There has been no drinks offered since the first round...45minutes ago. I decided to politely ask the owner for another orange juice, being told to ask another member of staff... service is appalling. Waiting time is appalling.
