TOURISTIC TRAP - EXPENSIVE AND BAD FISH with awful Service!!! TO AVOID...
We ordered the recommended fresh fish / catch of the day - Gallo de San Piedro for 3 of us and it was super expensive for a small run down chiringito - more than 80 euros the kg !!! anyway we decided to give it a try as grilled fish if it is fresh shouldnt be difficult to get right... We received the fish ... it was cut and served very badly and seem very small for our1,4kg ordered (?) it was served with basic leaf salads ( no vegetables as explained) and french fries not very well cooked! we had our first bite and fish was very chewy with no taste and no filet... the waiter asked us if the fish was good and we politely answered "not really / Mas o meno" and that we were disappointed with the taste and freshness of the fish. His response was soooo rude! he told us that the fish in formentera costs 350 euros per kg so it is normal that the taste is different here and that we dont know spanish fish!! what a response!!! we come on the island every year and love fish (I don't eat any meat so I am a true fish lover ;-)... and the prices are higher than the best fish restaurant on the island but taste was awful... anyway we ate 1/4 of the fish but it had no taste. so my friend decided to keep the fish and bring it to the chef in the kitchen and told very politely that this was not worth 120 euros fish and asked him to honestly try it at least if the waiteå didnt want to hear our feedback ... We got shouted at by the owners(I think older lady and the chef) saying that we didnt know the real taste of spanish fish (what a joke as I go to the fish market nost weeks !!!) and asked me where I was buying my fish ... anyway I will stop here ... but this was so upsetting as we were treated like thiefs whereas we were just sharing justified feedback on such a bad and super expensive fish ... so DONT go THERE !!!! they really think we are stupid tourists and can charge us whatever price and provide no service.. my WORST...
Read moreTerrible service. The waiter was completely rude and unprofessional, and we were extremely disappointed. The food was dripping with oil. In the middle of our meal, they moved us to another table just to give our spot to other customers. I also asked for the restaurant’s Wi-Fi, since the beach has poor phone signal, but the waiter refused, saying he was too busy – even though there was a network available for ‘guests’. Absolutely surreal. I strongly suggest...
Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at this charming beachside restaurant! Since the recent change in ownership, it has become an absolute must-visit spot on the north side of the island. The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and the food was nothing short of delicious. From the first bite to the last, every dish left me craving for more. I can't wait to return to this gem and savor their mouthwatering delights again. Definitely a five-star...
